Great to see the Tram is coming along nicely! can't wait to see it back in service. Though I wonder if they would give it 'Thomas' nameplates, as the tram was named that by Awdry himself.
Thanks for watching. We're really looking forward to the Tram running again. A decision is yet to be made on the nameplates, though we do have one of the original plates in storage.
@@telfordsteamrailway Personally, I think a plaque showing the name, who named it and when would not only be a nice throwback to when the tram was named such during the opening of the telford tramway, but it would look quite nice displayed inside the carriage, so people can look above the carriage's doorway and see it.
Never knew there was a narrow gauge tram at the railway! Looks very nice, I'd visit the railway just to see it, really good job so far on it's restoration.
Rusty is currently withdrawn due to issues with its engine. A plan is currently being drawn up as to whether a repair is possible or if the engine needs to be replaced.
@telfordsteamrailway7894 I remember Rusty when I first use to volunteer at tsr I have fond memories and connections of it running I was sad when I found out he's no longer running and I'd love to help get him back in traffic
Thanks for such a comprehensive update on what's going on. The volunteers are truly dedicated.
