Hello Evie! I did this method too. Here's a tip:
Use a half cover tip WITHOUT a C-curve and your full cover tip should be WITH a C-curve. Works everytime! Love your videos and your work. You are a great inspiration. 🤗

The "fails" are successful in showing us that diy nails has it's ups & downs. It shows us that there is definitely a learning curve & we have to be patient with ourselves when learning new techniques.. I love watching you create & recreate nails! Love the content you share! Thank you Evie for your authenticity!
Try it using non c curve tip as your base. Then, when you put the sculptured full cover tip on top, it should lay nicely over your full nail. Since you started with c curved tips and also a c curved full cover nail, it left you with not enough space in between the two.
I love your authenticity when it comes to the struggle of the nails because sometimes I myself want to give up when I’m doing nails they may not be as intricate as yours but I love the fact that you kept pushing to show us sometimes is not as easy as it looks and I to have struggles even though I’ve been doing this for so many years and I still try to push through to the end goal really love the video keep it up you keep inspiring those who want to do nails or just inspired to see another black woman in the industry!!! ❤❤️❤️

I bought her hard gel bundle with two builder gels, brushes, and the prep stuff, and they are so good! The set I'm wearing now is what I put on before Thanksgiving (I've been doing fills), and I've had no cracks, no peeling, and I love the brushes! Hope you get inspired to play around soon!

I think it's good to show the fails because when I first started doing my own nails I was really frustrated that I couldn't get things to work. It's good to know that even people with more experience have struggles.

If you use a non c curve nail it will help as far as the opening at the end and u can cut them down to open them more as well stead of filing... clip them 😉 so there's no dust. I've done this myself a few times... I would say if u redo them use non c curve tips and u should see the difference and have more room! 😉 it's ok we all have these moments at least you attempted an did it girly!!! Now u know what the process is for next time an what u can do differently ya know? Much love you got this 👍 ❤

I really appreciate you showing videos of both the successful creations AND the fails. I'm just starting out on my DIY nail journey and there are times where I feel sooooo incompetent. Idk what they are talking about with your cuticles, yours are great and you are gentle to them! After seeing you use the cuticle bits, I went and learned how to use them because my cuticles have always been a pain to maintain. And now I love using the efile for my cuticles. Hey Evie some advice use full cover tips for the entire set, use one size larger for the tops, when laying your foundation use a generous amount of the bling it gel ( it won’t hurt I promise) use your clear poly gel to seal the gap at the cuticle, fill in your nail at the tip with your glitter and oil, then put a generous amount (but not to much that it sinks into the tip opening)of the bling it gel to seal the tip, finally top coat with a thick no wipe top coat to insure no leakage👍 I used this method with my pressons they came out flawlessly

I just got a poly gel get so I’ve been watching videos all day. Your channel by far is the BEST! First, your video quality and sound is top notch. Second, you don’t claim to be an expert, which I love seeing a non-expert so nails bc it gives me hope that I can do 1/10 of these designs myself. Third, you speak in real, easy terms for your audience to understand. No “nail tech” complicated language. And finally, you are a ray of SUNSHINE. You are beautiful and your smile warms me.
