As a driver in Italy i also stop for pedestrian only if they actually start walking. The reason is simple: there are a lot of pedestrian who wait an eternity to start walking once you stopped your car. Or even worse, they don't want to walk at all and they just stand there waiting for the future to arrive. So i need to be 100% sure that the person is going to cross the road.
this is so illegal and uncivilized. the law says the have to go first, you stop when they are in front of the zebra crossing and wait, that's it. it's so bad to read some sort of motivation that puts the blame on the pedestrian.
Hahaha that's so funny! I always got confused when I first arrived, because as an Australian it seemed so strange (and I didn't understand much of the language back then). But I love how expressive Italians are, it's quite beautiful :)
Everyone must visit italy at least once in a lifetime to learn n experience this great culture n be blessed by it. Italy is simply mesmerising , my love for the lively spirit of italian culture n people who have sustained it , buno , bravo😇💐
My culture is my identity and personality, it gives me spiritual, intellectual and emotional distinction from others. But Having friends from other cultures makes me more creative. In fresh ways about space and how people create their own world and environment. It is best way to connect between creative thinking and cross-cultural relationships.

I'm Australian (no connection to Italy) and I have been told off for "yelling" at the person I'm talking to. I'm not generally a loud and expressive person but being loud is something I might find myself doing sometimes (not usually on purpose though). Possibly because I have autism and I have a deep (male) voice and I used to mumble a lot when I was younger. So I guess I just learned to speak louder to compensate for that. Sounds like in Italy, it might be more acceptable.
Hey theree, great video! About the Parmigiano tho i must say that the amount of it that people put on pasta is a very very personal thing: like there is people (like me) who hardly put Parmigiano anywhere, whereas there's someone who put it ✨everywhere✨... So yeah, it really depends
SAME IN GREECE! When your trying to cross the road in greece its like the cars speed up to not let you, also the taxi drivers and everyone basically drives 20-30kms over the speed limit. Eg. a 50 zone becomes an 100 zone. But in some cities like Athens and Thessaloniki there are traffic lights in the centre.

About not being judgemental...that's not actually true: we are, a LOT. The difference is what we are picky about, classic example? Food ;D Another is clothing, in Italy tracksuits are the bare minimum and often frowned upon, instead in the US (at least based on what I gather) you can go to the grocery store in your pj

Hi, I'm italian and whenever I want the second and not the first, I tell them and it's fine. It's happened to me before where I go to a restaurant and I ask for what's in the menu but with some modifications or like I said I just get what I want it doesn't matter if there is a first or second I just ask for what I wish to eat. I guess you met a weird waiter, because they don't care about what you order. Although I might understand if you asked for a specific Italian dish with other ingredients.
i've lived in Australia all my life and i have never heard of timed seating in a restaurant. Sounds very trashy. I've never been rushed out either. She must live in the heart of sydney or melbourne maybe, I suppose things are faster paced there. But I've never had that experience in Brisbane. The culture in Australia is far more laid back than that.
I bump into this video, after 2 yrs from the release. I want to be clear. There is a law, the pedestrian on the street IS A THING AND MUST BE A THING, it is a dangerous matter. there's a law, pedestrians on zebra crossings go first, cars, bike or lorries MUST stop. oSadly in Italy, rules aren't a thing, this is the real culture shock.
you just spend a lot of time in restaurants because all the food you order it's made in the moment. sorry, if you're in a hurry you have to go some fast food

We need to see where you have been in Italy. Between the Sardinians and the Venetians or the Trentino there will be 15 or 20 centimeters of difference 😮

These aspects cannot be associated to all of italy. There is a big difference between Northern and southern italy.

You are all here criticizing seafood plus cheese just because you haven't tried "pasta con tonno, panna e parmigiano"
