I really like how they went over Hank's story. I was afraid they would write Hank off as "Lol wife beater" which I have heard on so many forums and sites. Instead, they went over the natural build-up that lead to the slap, and how Hank regretted it and set out to redeem himself afterward. As a certified Ant-fan this was awesome and made it one of my favorite analyses in the whole series.
Things I like about the video highlight: 1.) I DIDN'T KNOW THE VOICE OF ANT-MAN WAS IN SKYLANDERLANDERS! Which happens to be part of my childhood. 2.) Despite only being the first episode I didn't expect Atom's death to start out so gruesome 3.) Season 10 of Death Battle is just full of surprises for us P.S This episode was fine not a banger with the 2 previous premieres, but this episode made me enjoy it

This was a really cool fight. I wasn't sure how I was gonna feel about it since my knowledge of Ant-Man comes from the MCU, Marvel Zombies and the few moments Linkara talked about him and Atom I basically have no knowledge of sans a few appearances. To me this was just the battle between two dudes with size powers. I came out of the fight honestly wanting to learn more about them and being pleasantly shocked by the absurdity of their power sets and the animation is great. In particular, I really liked how Hank's actor seemed to emulate Michael Douglas from the films and how the choreography referenced set-pieces from them and the contrast they set up is neat with Hank coming off as very confident and comfortable in his abilities and what he does while Atom seems to be a bit more bewildered by what is being thrown at him. Overall, fun fight, look forward to the next.
I'm really happy with how this episode came out. I was expecting just a alright episode but to me this was a good solid 8/10. I guess no size is to small to be a pleasant surprise. Also next time is hyped let's fucking go!

Better than Batman vs Black Panther and Lara vs Nathan for me by a long shot. Unsure about whether I prefer this over Boba vs Samus, because despite this being the objectively better episode, that one has a lot of charm and ironic comedic value to me. I think I prefer the other 6 pretty handily though.

I think this will be a good benchmark on how good the quality on average will be. This episode was completely average but it was really high quality average
This probably isn't the first time you've been asked this, but have you considered redoing your ranking of every DB death once Season 10 ends? There are a lot of cool deaths in seasons 8-10 like Goku Black, Alucard, Homelander, and Atom that myself and I'm sure a good amount of others are interested to see how you stack them up compared to the older deaths. And there's also the chance that some older deaths changed position, like if for example you believed that Quicksilver and Sweet Tooth's deaths were retroactively improved by the callbacks to them in later episodes. Just a suggestion.
I had pretty much the same feelings about this episode, I was for the most part never really interested in Marvel vs DC matches, but I actually learned a lot. Mostly from the Marvel side of things since I only consume the MCU and none of the comics, so it was cool seeing Hank be the one in this fight which honestly does make a lot more sense than Scott In terms of the fight, it pretty much had all I expected of this kind of fight, liked the gags and of course, the death was brutal and awesome, hope they keep that aspect up. The only thing for me is that the melee combat seemed off to me like it was a tad stiff, but was overall fine. It was overall a decent analysis with a couple good jokes, a fun and funny fight with an awesome death, so I'm in the 6/10 or 7/10 score range As both you and Nem said, it's perfectly fine that this was an alright premiere of the season. Pretty much the middle of the road when compared to others, but as said, it's perfectly fine like that. Don't want the first episode to peak, we just gotta hope that the rest of the season keeps up the pace. Even though I know almost nothing about Dark Souls or Skyrim, I do look forward to the next battle

This very well might be the peak of the season for me and I am A-OK with it. What's small for you may seem quite big for others. Edit: He did... some kind of shout. I would say that counts because I care about being right, but I have to admit that the meme is fus-ro-dah and I was wrong about it. Fuck.
You also know about CinemaSins, huh? I started following that channel when The Lion King (the better one from 1994) was the latest movie they tackled. I've been attached to that one, and like you and Nem, I think the channel can get too much hate, when the point of the channel is that they just sin stuff because it's the channel's job. They also give credits on stuff that are legitimately cool or bad. BTW, In your eyes it could just be lower than the original Fett VS Samus because it doesn't have That's Right, Boomstick. But being 3rd place of a Marvel vs. DC premiere is not that bad when you think about it.

Although I’m sad it wasn’t the discord and bill cypher fight but I honestly love how creative they did with the fight the first reminds me of the finale battle of the first ant man movie witch I love but then they go crazy for the second and third fight it was great with the pacing overall I enjoy it a lot
Honestly my favorite part of the video was how they handled Hank's analysis, how they lead up his mental health issues from his domestic abuse to the creation fo Ultron was handled masterfully and I hope other analysis in this season are that good. Also I really did like the death, I watched this with my mom since she likes MCU stuff and I explained some Hank Pym stuff to her and groaned at Atom's death so it was really effective there lol. I like the track too but the name is awful, the Eternity segment was transcendent.
I’m a little interested in how they’ll tackle the next episode, with both Dragonborn and Chosen Undead being player avatars, it’ll be interesting to see what abilities they give them
