Thank you Colin for this fascinating video full of detail. What happens in those control boxes is amazing. I did not see Betsy sweeping the tracks but remember her calculating as they were laid what they were worth at the scrap yard. I am just glad they are laid and secured! Great photography and really well positioned for the best shots!

I stumbled on this video also and yes I love Stephens videos I spotted him with his red cap... I went on so many holidays ftom Dublin in the 70s 80s and early 90s...I remember when all that used to be Fine Fare... My God the prices were so cheap in comparison to back home. I loved the video of Dickson Rd as we used to stay on Warbreck Hill Rd and The Derby Supper Bar was our chippy on the walk home from a show or Pleasure Beach at Night... Ah Blackie is a wonderful town.. Thank you for all your videos. Means so much to my heart.. Going there for the first time in over 20 years in September with our son of 9..

Whatever happened to field testing? Its a tram. Teach the driver on the job. Just have a trainer with the driver/s until they are confident. As more drivers get qualified, run more trams. Millennial health and safety brigade - taking a salary and producing nothing. Same on crossrail. Waiting for everything to be "perfect". No need. Just open in stages, even if only one stop. It soon gets people learning. Guaranteed if all these people weren't on salary until it running, theyd soon hurry up.
