- Hey everyone, it's been almost 8 weeks since my motorcycle accident 🏍️ where I shattered my scapula, broke 5 ribs, and had a collapsed lung 😷. I'm still on the mend, but I'm excited to give you an update on my recovery 🚑. Despite the challenges, I'm making progress 💪 and can't wait to be at Laguna Seca Raceway this weekend for the MotoAmerica race 🏁. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone there! 🎉 I'll also share my plans to wait until I have an airbag vest before getting back on a motorcycle 🛡️, as my injuries are healing but not fully healed yet. Stay tuned for more updates and thank you for your support! 🙏

Are you going to be at Luguna Seca this year for MotoAmerica 2024
Separated my shoulder on a motorcycle. 3 months in a recliner and 6 months out of work. Depression is real when you feel useless. Glad you’re feeling better and in good spirits.
Thank you for sharing your experience
Hey Rembo! Good hear! Truth be told, you never left! Gotta stay in the game! Nursing a knee right now, so my riding is limited, but.....still in the game!
Take care brother!
Thanks Dave. I appreciate it.
Happy to see you well recovering! I’ll be pleased to hear from you about the techair 7
Happy for the update and have been hoping to hear good news. I am getting the TechAir 5 myself. We can see who can go the longest without actually needing our vests. Glad to hear you're on the mend.
Thank you and stay safe.
Well done on your recovery from the UK. ❤
Thank you !
Hey Rembo, great to see & hear you back on the tube! Glad to hear recovery is going well & yep, tons of time to fully heal! I reckon your right arm has lost some muscle mass & will only regain its full strength through rehab.
Give it time, stay safe, ride smart & spend some time with family & friends 🤙
Time to start using those muscles that have been sitting on the sidelines the past 8 weeks.
Great to see you back and that you’re doing so much better. I bought the Dainese smart jacket last year. Won’t ever ride without it now. Keep on the road to a full recovery!
That was a smart move. Thank you for letting us know.
He’s back! F’ng A dude!
Thanks man
Animo , ya te queda menos con la recuperación en Septiembre ya estas on ✌
gracias
Good to see you back.
Thank you
As we discussed all these air bags have limitations from a medical perspective, but I m glad u r wearing one. Shame so many are not probably too expensive
I'm glad you're feeling better. You should compare the airbag vest to mine . If we get a spare cartridge we can set it off
Sounds like a plan
Nice to hear the recovery is going well. Seems every week I meet someone who's upgraded to an air vest. Alpinestar Tech 5 seems to be the most common from the guys I've met. A couple of them have the KLIM. Earlier this week had a family member fall off a bicycle at very low speed and crack 5 ribs and a punctured lung. Air vest is certainly on top of my wish list right now. Have fun at Laguna. I assume your Dr said it's ok to fly, sometimes they don't want people doing that after suffering a collapsed lung.
My discharge papers said 6 weeks before I could fly but the trauma surgeon said 2 full months. I flew last week at 7 weeks without any issues.
You’re looking and sounding great Rembo! Glad to see you are recovering well! I am getting a vest now too! I just don’t know what to get yet. Go Ducati!
Thank you!
I wish you well 💪🏼
Thank you.
glad to see you back, great idea about the vest. I just bought a E Turtle Helite vest and I do notice the long tail while riding but it gets better if I adjust my backside while riding. I also won the Tech Air 5 , but 90+ degrees is way too hot for me.
They are hot to wear
Hey Brother! Glad to see you’re doing much better and are ready to ride again! Shoulder area is tough to heal. I did a number on my left shoulder (rotator cuff) teaching a 3Whl BRC (push-pull steering from the shoulders on a CA Ryker) and couldn’t pick my arm over my head for over a year. Regardless, I’ve missed your content and am very jealous to not be on the Monterey Peninsula for the MA National. Closing on the sale of my TH in NJ on 7/29, so I’ll be much closer to there very shortly! Ciao Bello e Saluti, Amico mio! In bocca di lupo!
Nice to hear from you. Tell Mom I said hello.
@@RemboUSMC mom says same to you and feel better! She’s a fan of yours! She’s going to AZ with pup this WE. Baby girl and her mini-me are coming to get them and take them to our new home.
Glad to see you are getting there, best wishes on the road to 100% recovery ..... I ordered the tech 5, thought it is more suitable for "normal" street riding, but maybe I am wrong about that vis a vi the Tech 7.
I was hoping on an upgraded version of the Tech Air 5 but that is not in the works according to the Alpine Stars rep at my local dealer.
Glad to see you're recovering. Do you know what punctured your lung? Was it one of the broken ribs? Depression would be natural in your situation - hope you had plenty of people around you, helping you through it!
It was more than likely one of the ribs. Lots of support on my end which helped.
Tech air 10
Will you wear an airvest when you do your pole dancing?
Only on Thursdays
