- In today's vlog we head to Disney Springs to celebrate the Lunar New Year at Uniqlo! They had some free entertainment and giveaways to ring in the new year. We saw some Taiko drumming, a calligraphy artist, a prize wheel and a fortune rack. We won some Japanese candy that looked like sushi and we got a calligraphy writing of Jackson's name, it was really cool! We also checked out the new Fortune line that featured the Disney mice in celebration of it being the year of the mouse. Then we headed out into the Springs to have some dinner at Terralina Craft Italian. We hadn't eaten there since they opened and it was so good! We had appetizers, mains and dessert and it was all super delicious. We definitely recommend trying it if you're looking for a place to eat at Disney Springs. All in all we had an awesome date night. The first kanji can be read as "jaku" (silence) and the second can be read as "son" (precious/respectable), so together they form "Jakuson", which is how "Jackson" would be pronounced in Japanese. :)
But Japan don't celebrate Lunar new year. Also english name should written in 片仮名 .
Since Uniqlo is a Japanese company, I guess they just hire a Japanese artist to write cool kanji.

しあん I have no problem with it, I am Chinese , that why my first thought was why don’t they just write how Jackson should write in 汉字 . Especially Japan don’t celebrate lunar new year at all.Then I remembered the company is Japanese company ( my favorite clothing company !!!!)

It’s so satisfying to watch a calligrapher write. It takes years to master the stroke perfectly and gracefully.
The ATM at sprinkles actually is real! I was there on vacation the day everything closed early for Hurricane Dorian. Even though sprinkles was closed, my dad and I were able to get a cupcake out of the ATM!

The Mediterranean diet is one of the healthiest in the world. 🍆🍅🌶🧄Just go easy on the cheese. 🧀🍕Jackson seems to be enjoying the outings more. Such a sweet boy.
It’s “Ji Zuen” in Chinese and “Jakuson” in Japanese (a phonetic spelling of Jackson). Technically in both languages it means “quiet respect” in direct translation of the two characters.
Japanese here and please get that calligraphy framed. The letters were spot on and looked professional (and it does read Jackson) made me super happy seeing some Japanese culture representation :)

At the pop up cards, I thought that was a baby Yoda (The Child) sound effect but it was just baby Jackson. Perfect timing.
Babies are completely mesmerized by fans, especially ceiling fans. Love seeing y’all together. My kids hated the darkness of night car rides.

Taiko stuff is a special thing for me, it's an odd sort of nostalgic feeling. In high school I was part of a taiko club where we played Taiko. It's one of the simplest but coolest instruments to play. Literally anyone can play taiko as it's all about rhythm and listening to the leader of the group with the call outs. Literally all you need to know is Do and don is hitting the middle and Kata is hitting the edges of the Taiko drum to make a "Tck!" sound. It's awesome seeing taiko performances at disney!

The Sprinkles atm is legit and fully automated! We love using it (for the culture 😂😂😂). A camera will show the machine picking your cupcake and putting it in the little slot! It's a fun little experience.

My daughter when she was a baby did great in the car at first at night then as she got older she got afraid of the dark so we bought a Fisher-Price flashlight from any Walmart or Target though any flashlight will work

I used to love when it was Portobello Yacht Club. DS does look really pretty at nigh, you're right, Tim. I have never in my life seen fried olives, or heard of them, anywhere! Since I love olives, I would have to try them!! Were they green, or black, or both?
I feel for you when Jackson fights his sleep - my nephew used to do the same thing, and he was also very colicky, and both things made me feel so helpless. :( That caligraphy you got of Jackson's name WAS very cool.
