Oh, I think I get it. My theory is that this song is about addiction and the hookup he had with the woman in the beginning was supposed to represent him trying drugs for the first time or doing gateway drugs and then after that he follows her into the portal and discovered this magical world, it’s possible that this represents him discovering the use of harder drugs. He gladly jumps into the pool full of pills and bottles, I think this represents his discovery of more addictive substance. As he goes deeper into it, the harder it would be for him to get out (ie: it was easy for him to get from the ferris wheel to the rooftop but it’s going to be hard for him to go back again, just like how it’s easy to become addicted to drugs but much harder to break free from their grasp). Soon enough he makes it to a castle, in a line and I believe that once he’s in the castle it represents hitting rock bottom, reaching the point of no return and possibly dying even. Please share your thoughts and opinions! I’d live to hear your theories.
It's about human addiction whether it's to money,sex,women/men etc. It's about people doing anything to get them even if it cost them their souls.
It has nothing to do with the woman per say but what she stands for.
I thinks it represents how the devil gets to you “come if your curious to see the desires that you seek” that’s like the devil coming at you with any kind of addiction (sex, money, drugs) and how beautiful the devil makes it look “it’s a candy land we’re dreamers dance....” but in return he asks for your soul “....and I swear it won’t cost much” that’s in real life if anybody it’s struggling with any kind of addiction the devil will do anything for you to fall for his tricks, just like the woman did to the guy she appears beautiful and of course it’s easy to fall into temptation, but that’s how the devil works and as the guy follows the woman he goes in deeper and he likes everything he see’s but if you see at the end he has to repeat everything again because now the devil has him “tight” if you see the chain she put on it’s basically like a keychain on how hard it is and it’s going to be to get out ,
i feel it’s the idea of selling your soul for anything money, fame, or power because if you think about it “you can look and you can touch, it’s a real fine day in the black parade, and I swear it won’t cost much” you can live your life with this wealth or fame but in exchange the devil
