It sounded so easy when you walked me through it. My daughter had mixed all the cards up and I was lost to which card went were and what needed shuffling up. Subscriber for life man thanks, onto your playthrough video. I am a strong believer in these games that you play the hand you are dealt. No matter how bad. NEVER Mulligan.

Wow -- incredible intro to the video! Looking forward to the playthrough. With regards to the mulligan -- Mockingbird is probably one of the best allies in the core set (stun is great) and tenacity is terrific for Spidey. I would ditch the rest in order to dig for a couple key early game boosts, like Helicarrier and/or Avengers Mansion. Even a Webslinger would be great for early game resource acceleration.

Thanks for sharing, Adam! I wish the mulligan didn't cost cards in the discard (it doesn't really make sense to me that we get a chance to control a bit of the setup randomness, but have to pay for it.) But back on track. :-) I don't see a card I'd get rid of. I haven't played the game but using the power of justice to accelerate things being played is tempting, and I like a good kick to the villain when I see one, so I'd play Heroic intuition and Winging web kick. No mulligan needed, full hand used. And since you won't read this while celebrating happily: happy birthday, fellow player!!
Rolling Solo yes I see lol...I am just waiting for my copy to arrive and I think finally there is a game worthy of this IP - so many in the past that have not lived up to it ....
I don't think I'd discard anything. A few of the cards look really good and the others could be used to pay for them. Looks like you can use The Power of Justice to pay for Heroic Intuition from the start. Seems like a good idea to be able to reduce as much thwart as possible from the start.

hmmm this hand could get out mockingbird and heroic intuition with one resource left over. So maybe mulligan swinging web kick and tenacity? If you drew into another power of justice, you could get daredevil out cheaply! but its a long shot.
Thanks for the suggestions. Swinging web kick is a tough one to drop due to the big time damage it does. But damage isn’t everything strategy wise. Just one aspect! :)

But even though I’ve never played this obviously, my Arkham horror experience tells me you want to spend the first few initial turns getting a board state before you commit so much to something like pure damage that doesn’t provide any board control! But looking forward to seeing what you do and how it all turns out! Good luck 🍀
Is this like AH card game where to play 4 players you would have to have 2 core sets because there won't be enough cards otherwise? IE maybe two different heroes need the "justice" set for example?
@@RollingSolo That's good to hear. Is the reason you are not using the third Rhino scheme because you are playing solo or because the game thinks it will be too hard to do on your first play through?
Never mind you just answered that question in the video. So you only ever play with two of the cards never all three, but the game itself will instruct you as to which two. Got it.

I really think this one knocks it out of the park. It’s one of two super hero based games I have. The Reckoners is another I enjoy. :)

Can you create your own decks? It sounds like you can only use Spider-Man cards with spider, etc.
You can create your own decks by mixing and matching types of cards. I’d recommend checking out FFGs site for more info. Cheers!
