That last one I would definitely walk away from that. It's selfish, childish, and entitled behavior. There's no surface level "he was just playing" BS, she was very clear about why she couldn't attend the event, that this was a temporary situation, and that this was important (like that even needed to be clarified), and he didn't get his way about a party so he sabotaged her. If he's willing to do this over a party then what else will he do it over if he can get away with it?

The op in the last story was doing her best so she could have time with her husband but he ruined it. Does it shows how much he didn't want them to have time together by ruining op's studies for a party? I think that person is nuts. Like what the hell, okay she doesn't spend much for him and the op already explained like really i think he just lifted a stone in his own foot.

If I were the OP in the last Story, I would file a divorce imediatly.
Oversleeping on an exam is every student‘s worst nightmare, and depending on what university the OP was/is going to, this one exam could be the only exam of a specific subject, because some unversities (like the one i‘m attending) only have one exam per subject per semester.
Missing one exam without a good reason (e.g. doctors note) can cost you a semester or even a full year to retake the specific lecture. The husband eigther doesn‘t know about this importance or doesn‘t care. Both are bigger red flags then the soviet union‘s

Stop using the hair dryer on your PC. There are miniature vacuum cleaners for that purpose, and they’re very reasonably priced. Blowing dust and crap into your electronics will ruin them.

Last story: OP needs to leave and get a divorce ASAP! A mature adult would have gone to the party alone, and let the OP study for her exams. He would even call to see how she's doing. A mature adult wouldn't sabotage OP's exam by messing with her alarm clock. A mature adult would wake the OP up, prepare her coffee and breakfast, and maybe even quiz her on the last day.
What OP's husband did isn't only vain and narcissistic, it was immature and petty.

There are universities that complicate your semester if you don't take the exams. Also, if someone tells you NO then it means NO. Divorce that asshole already, he's the selfish one, he don't think about how serious the exams are and how important it is for you.

Honestly with the story about the mum naming her baby after poop, I would just tell her and let her deal with it. The reason I would is because as already mentioned the poor baby is the one who has to live with that name for the rest of their life and even though kids might not know what it means it wouldn't be hard for them to find out if they over hear some adults talking about the name. Then there's teen and adult years... I hope she finds out what it means and decides to pick something that doesn't mean poo..

The exam one was crossing a line big time all over his own selfishness for a party. I would not be able to put up with that behavior specially if I spent so long working hard to achieve something he should be encouraging me, supporting me over and be proud of. Instead all her years of hard work meant nothing to him because a party was more important. Like does he know if the party had just been after exam time she probably would have had free time then to go to such things. Short sighted jerk.

I remember when I first found out about my tumor, I was in so much shock I couldn’t function. It was to the point where I didn’t even know if I would survive surgery and treatment. Bless that person. As far as the mom goes, she needs to put herself in other peoples shoes. How would you react if you found out your life was flipped upside down from cancer? I understand being upset you lost a babysitter, but have some compassion! I hope the op is doing better now.

The baby name story - I know a woman who is very sheltered and naive, and she actually has 5 kids! She is religious and does not drink alcohol, but wanted to name her last son "Samuel Adam" and was planning to call him "Sam Adam" like the beer. We warned her that this was immediately what people would think of when hearing the name, and it honestly made her dig in her heels and she takes every opportunity to refer to her baby as "Sam Adam, but not the beer!" You can't win in a situation like this!

So your wife has been too busy with her final exams to be very social, so naturally the best way to react is to get revenge by making her miss her exam??? Her husband is clearly the brains of the two, though that isn't much of an achievement. Also, they lost a perfectly good babysitter because EM just jumped to the worst possible conclusion.

    Exams:
If I were the OP, and he made me miss my exam, just because he was being petty, I would 100% separate our finances and have a post-nuptial agreement set up for him to sign. It would say that any income earned from our jobs would not be shared at anytime, and would belong to the person whom actually earned it. Bills would be split equally. Because you know that guy is going to quit his job and try to live off of his wives income, that she was able to get, with the Exam that he caused her to miss. He sounds like the type of person that would cut your break lines, just because you didn't drive him to the corner store.
