This game made it all click for me. After this match left me almost in tears with how beautiful it was, I've been following football like crazy and even picked my own club now which despite going through hard times right now, I just can't stop following them even through their toughest times.
Bronco started watching football in 2020 and spent 2 years getting into it and learned enough about the game just in time to witness probably the greatest football match in history. Congrats bro this is what it's all about.

yes!! as a french, i've literally experienced every possible emotion during this match it was amazing. i don't know any other sport that made me feel this way even though i'm not even fond of football

There is something about two awesome teams (or 1v1 players/fighters) going at it in a final/belt that is enthralling. There has been many times I am watching some sport I couldn't care less about that my dad or a friend has on, then slowly but surely I get dragging into the mesmerising action and just get utterly invested into it.
This is the match that got me into the sport. Now I follow all kinds of football, European, South American, even USA football. I'm a USMNT fan but this match honestly made me almost cry with how beautiful it was. It all just clicked after this "oH my gosh, I get it now. I get why they call this the most beautiful sport on the planet." I've picked a club, I've fallen in love.

If you were following the game from beginning to end, that Emi Martínez save is an equivalent to that 2016 Lebron chase down block in the INTENSITY meter, the “how tf did he do that” when it comes to sport, the “I thought it was over” moment. It helped that you had the potential GOAT of the sport as a whole, and one of the current rising greats going at it too in Mbappe and Messi and both showing out. All of the ones I named have entertaining highlights imo and there's alot of other legends ofcourse that I didn't mention but I think they're all players you should familiarize yourself with at some point as a football fan just based off the importance that some of these players hold in football's history.
