I’ve got to say…. I bought one, it came yesterday… it took me about 2 hours to install incl making one hole slightly bigger… I got my kids all registered fingerprints.. even my 4 year old granddaughter has her fingerprint on it… she thinks she’s so grown up… I’m a single mum of 6, and a nanny.. I got this lock so I knew my most prized grandaughter is perfectly safe inside but my own home, yet my grown children had the freedom to come and and go (within reason). I’ve had my own place for 31 years and never found the happy balance of freedom but safety at the same time… I genuinely am 100% happy with my door lock. This is a genuine feed back comment.. I also did a lot of research before I bought one because I can’t afford to get it wrong, personally or financially.. £200 was an excellent price and £50 for the bridge. So far.. I’m so happy with my lock.. I shall do an update soon.
Thanks for the tutorial. I have a question though, when you pulled the handle on the outside at 1:45, it didn't lock, you said it was Smart Safe. I notice when I try to close the door from the outside, it doesn't close, the latch bolt just hits against the strike plate, I have to input the code for the handle to pull down and the latch bolt to pull in and the door to close, is this how it is supposed to behave?
What isn't clear in the Amazon page is that this is only suitable for 'Lever Up' mechanisms which are on 95% of UPVC doors. I have a wooden door for which the mechanism looks the same but the lever does not allow you to push up to engage the extra bolts. The bolts engage on the door closing when some clips get depressed. I will sadly now have to return this. I really looked to see if it was suitable before buying. Also, there was only 1 sliding screw in the pack instead of 2. People report that one is sent by yourselves but takes 10 days to arrive. By this time I would have bought and installed a different lock (if it had been suitable).

yes i just changed mine , loosen alan key screw inside the handle
@@tommyan8859 thanks
All of our locks are reversible, and through an Allen Key, you can change the direction of the handle.
You skipped the part of the door mount lol

Have same issue here, with wooden door and a non lever up mechanism. Would changing the lock to a lever up one then work?
