I worked at Old Country Buffet in the early to mid 2000's and remember watching this video in 'training'. I never thought I'd be nostalgic for that place, but this song hits in the best ways.
@@firalanger6850I am. I went on to work at some local casinos, eventually making my way to bartender but got laid off over Covid. There was a shitton of college money for people who lost their jobs. so I am not working on a 4-year stats degree while picking up odd shifts at a nearby brewery
Oddly enough it really is still hot out there... its 71 degrees in Michigan right now... in February... in the middle of winter... I am literally going to grill some burgers OUTSIDE for dinner now... and yes... because I watched this today: I will make a hot fudge Sunday for desert!
They put me on the carving station in high school. I have no idea what nonsense I said as I was filled with existential dread the entire time. It may have been as a joke or a business strategy as I think people avoided me and thereby the more expensive meat.
I had a tough day today, so I really needed this, lol😢😂. My first thought was, "Aw, sounds sweet." Maybe it's the meme, or maybe he's just trying to sound and look very convincing, or maybe we just know that no one ever talks while getting meat in a buffet, whatever it is, it sounds sweet and amazing. Well Done.
Didn't think I'd be seeing the Old Country Buffet training video ever again. My nightmare high school job! Brings back so memories of lap burns from scalding hot dishwasher water and cuts from broken dishes! My fingerprints were burnt clean off!
Easily discounted during the first listening, this track is truly an ear worm and becomes a way of life for its listeners. The chorus begins manifesting itself in the listeners' ears causing a severe lack of sleep. The listeners start to hear a disembodied voice relentlessly bombarding them with questions. The listeners appear confused and hostile to non-listeners. The listeners refuse to answer questions or speak any words other than their holy chant. They appear desperate for answers but regardless of any responses they receive, they only continue to chant; "Is it still hot outside? Did you catch a game last night? Have you tried the lasagna? (it's my favorite)"
Social media would have a field day now with a stranger asking a young girl if she likes hot fudge sundaes. The poor sod would be hounded until a few days later his body would be found swinging from the ceiling.
Was just talking with my mom about how when her parents came to visit us we would always end up eating at Old Country Buffet. My nostalgia now has a Noiselund backbeat.
@Noiselund videos are some of my favorties. He's really carving a place for himself on youtube. And I feel a strange tingle watching @thecarvingguy sharpening a knife 1:57
Melodyne is so great .. What do you think of Logic's version? .. too many artifacts ? They're catching up .. Mastering assistant is amazing.. I just wish it wouldn't just automatically push that 50 sub bass
I like how noiselund is so used to dealing with the ‘Rich Evans vocal range’ that he just tunes everyone else’s voice into it out of convenience.
I’m Donnnnn Wilson!
The dual-wield fighter NPC wearing chainmail gloves has good dialog. Add him to the party.
Is it chillwave out there? Did you catch Noiselund last night? Have you tried his last upload? It's my favorite.

@@DM-he8vw of course! I would follow it up by telling them heat stroke was my favorite!
What do you do now? Are you still in the restaurant business?

What grade are you in at school? Did you catch the game last night?
The guy in the video is pretty active in the comments on the original one. So theres a pretty good chance he's going to see this 😎
haha that's awesome. I wonder what he's doing now.
What's the original one called?
I bet he's got a mustache nowadays
I lost it at "These Guests are Idiots."
That needs to be a Producer Tag.
"Did you catch the game last night?"
"The problem with Arsenal is that they always try to walk it in"
Ludicrous display
What was Wenger thinking sending Walcott on that early?
they're having a laugh
It's my favorite!
He says with dead, soulless eyes.

I DID try the lasagna - it was MY favorite as well!
1:00 Why the idea of a chef giving food to a kid and then immediately getting it back makes me laugh so much
And now I’m suddenly nostalgic for lukewarm, plastic food. Your work is truly transformative!
As someone who is still alive from that era, I can confidently say that food indeed looked like that.
Did NOT expect a money shot at the end.
I APPLAUDED IT FOR BEING DIFFERENT!
It's a nice tune, thanks!
It broke new ground
IDK why but your videos mean so much to me. It's my favorite.
1:55 "These guests are idiots" Did I hear that right?
Yes that's my favorite
Have you tried the lasagna?
Is it still hot out there?
What grade are you in at school?
did you catch the game last night
Did you try the lasagna? Code for Mike performing geriatric massages.
Amazing how you can turn the most mundane videos into the catchiest songs. Excellent!
Actually underrated masterpiece.
It's 2024, and carving meat now has an amazing theme tune. What a wondrous time we live in! 👌
Bangin' job as always Noiselund!
I needed this today. Thank you
So catchy, as always! I love seeing events rewind: ham gets sliced and then restored, little girl gets a slice then…nope, no ham for you!
That's my favourite part! champagne comedy!
The classics never get old
No one’s ever really gone
Wow really glad I found your channel and subscribed a few days ago!
Did you get your subscription reward check yet? Nice surprise, right?
It's official - Noiselund doesn't even need Best of the Worst anymore.
It's the best of days, it's the worst of days - it's my favourite!
Epic song!

Jello, potato salad, watermelon and beef
...on the same plate?!
[Apparently, she knew _exactly_ what kind of dessert she wanted to have.]

The reverse knife killed me lllolll
I can't wait for a "We are the world" type song on whatever.
1:05 great edit, that’s my favorite
This is borderline experimental.
👏👏 Noiselund delivered, as always 👍👍
Thanks again for the laughs!
Holy hell, it's beautiful. Where we are tired with pop music, you come along. Hit after hit.
Ham please

Seriously, who doesn’t like hot fudge sundaes?
I've seen this guy, the actual guy comment on shit on the Internet here in RUclips about making this ad. Would be awesome if he showed up here lol
Does you watch sportsball in the yesterday, master? That's my favorite!
LOL, this is amazing work, again.
Fresh Noiselund! Excellent.
A perfectly carved melody, served hot and fresh.
Another banger. You never disappoint.
Hell yeah! I was thinking of the carver dude just earlier today.
I wonder if he's still there asking people about the Outside World
He has his own channel with the original video. He's pretty self aware about it. Has his own business now apparently. Seems like a solid dude.
Just fyi. I always appreciate when you time the vid loop to time with the bpm. Never stop!!
Please, Mr. Noiselund sir, can I have some more?
Also: You may like Found Footage Fest, here in RUclips.
Came for the hot fudge sundaes, stayed for the knife sharpening.
For the European audiences: Favourite.
OHHHH

GIMME THAT
'You'll never have a more dry piece of meat anywhere, guaranteed!'

Perfection
I learned why those meat cutting forks are like that and how to use them....for safety! Thanks Noiseland!
Guys will hear this and just think "ham please"
It’s my favorite.
Name one other music video that can make you hungry besides this and Weird Als "Eat it". 🍖

Old Town Buffet dude! A classic meme for the ages.
Oh boy here we go!
Where is he now? He's someone's father.
ok i burst out laughing at the very end - well done lol
God, that was _really_ depressin
don't get me wrong... I'm still grateful
Nice
It’s no rich evans auto tune but it will do!
Man I really want a tiny dish full of mediocre soft serve covered in crumbled oreos in a ratio of 1:5. That's my favorite.
How did you get this video footage of me
I've never seen steeling a knife performed so erotically before...
Lasagna is also my favorite
Jones BBQ and foot massage.
Don't knock it till you try it!
Is it still AWESOME IN NOISELUND? HAM YEAH!
I don't know what any of this is, but it's incredibly catchy!
The girl getting her meat taken away and the chef staring at her made me belly laugh. I think I woke up my neighbor.
Have you heard this Noiselund song yet? It's my favorite!

It's criminal how low the views are on this.
absolutely, this whole channel is a treasure trove
New Noiselund video is out.
