Dear Thrive Themes team, please implement two very important features for the form: 1. An Upload feature with drag and drop functionality. 2. Custom fields with individual setting options 3. Drop down selections 4. Radio Buttons 5. Dependency settings. When A is selected then show field C AND when B is selected show field D below OR When F is selected, do nothing. The Divi Theme from elegant themes inhibits this feature very nice. This would give so much more use and options for different types of use cases.
I was just showing someone how to build a site with Thrive Architect and how the only part we needed a plugin for was the form... well not anymore apparently, this is brilliant!
The new FORM fields are missing super important features. Custom Fields that gives you the option to create any form, with specific VALUES and NAME. And like Jim mentioned, that would give you the option to chose from drop-down lists, radio buttons, check boxes, etc. For example: If you are going to use your own .php script to do anything dynamic, you need to have that option. It would be super easy to implement. Also, it's not so much about sending a FORM field directly to an email. Instead, implement the option that you also can control the simply HTML code, like the INPUT TYPE and SUBMIT options to it's target URL. Because this is missing, I still have to use third-party options - other than Thrive. What a pity - you are missing out!
This new feature is great!! Super easy to set up and customize! The only thing that would make it better is to allow the sender to write their own subject line. This would be super helpful for our own useability when the message shows up in our inbox.
This is absolutely brilliant. I have now removed my contact form plugin and used thrive contact form element instead. Looking forward to seeing a search box plugin in the future :)
WOW! Thrive Architect is changing more and more to a full page and theme builder - amazing work in the past several months. Do you already have a "Conversion Tool" from migrating from Elementor to Thrive Architect??? 😎
Also if you would like to store your contacts somewhere Hubspot CRM is free and offers a free form grabber when you place their code on each page. They even track those that entered and pair that form fill out with the source (Facebook, SEO, PPC...). CallRail offers the same but costs money to at least have an account then free unlimited form tracking. Handy thing to track forms and source together for clients.
It makes it so much easier with the built-in forms. I would love it if you could add a "subject" form field and allow us to select it for the email we receive example: Subject: [your-subject] instead of name or email. Then when we receive an email we can see the "subject" before opening the email. It makes it easier to prioritize and to forward to the appropriate staff member.
It seemed very easy to connet the form to an email addrese using the button "email & after submit setup", now that option is gone, and the only option to do it is using some third party app to do it. Is there any simple way, to just make the message go to an e-mail addrese? Why did you change that simple and practical way that was from the start to a more complex one?
Good that you brought this inside Thrive. But the all the styling options in the video are not available yet. I am still getting a ugly looking form and no option to further customise it.
Thrive Themes I am using the Thrive form itself. I have done some testing and found that the Thrive Contact Form doesn't work properly if the website is running on a different theme and there are other contact form Plugins ( Contact Form 7, WP Forms ) present in the website. The form doesn't allow to edit the styles but just the labels and test and its a tiny form appears.
This is definitely great for people who just want a simple contact form, but forms like gravity forms and contact 7 forms have additional features, which is why most people use them. I'm wondering though if thrive has it in the plans to add similar enhanced features to this contact form (i.e. adding payment fields, logic/conditional questions, survey, etc.)?
We aren't trying to replace Gravity Forms, no. For advanced form building, that's what you should use (or Ninja Forms or whatever your prefer). Our contact form element is meant to be just that: a simple contact form.
Thanks for the input. I could use more features like drop down options. Maybe a melding of this and thrive leads. Or Contact Form 7 with Thrive controlling the look and feel.
#ThriveThemeRocks #ValueBombs Question for TT Team - I did not see an integration with an ESP/CRM? Is that something on the future roadmap? Also, once the form is submitted where do those details go on the backend? Are they easily accessible within the TT Dashboard?
Hi, when I hit the send button, I receive the following error: "Ups, we encountered some issues, please try again later!" I set everything correct. But for some reason, my contact form doesn't work.
Great new feature, are there any plans to add drop down menu selections and checkboxes for agreeing to a statement such as what their data will be stored for?
Nice, but I think the contact form element is not GDPR compliant. Please add the checkbox with the link to the privacy policy, so Europeans can use the feature safely. Thx
GDPR ≠ checkboxes. This form can absolutely be GDPR compliant, you only need to clearly communicate expectations. Also, you could add checkboxes to it and that wouldn't necessarily make it compliant.
Sure, but it reduces the surface of been targeted. To play safe and see how it goes in the future is a good option. All things which can help are appreciated. I have listen to the German attorney Solmecke (specialised in digital law) he recommends check boxes. He also admits it can be compliant without them but to drive a safer route he is recommend the check boxes and links.
Thanks for the link. I understand your point and agree from the marketing perspective. Unfortunately, however, the court judgments are passed by judges for whom the word "online marketing" is a foreign word. Therefore I go the safer way and will not use the new tool (unfortunately). Still hope that thrive themes integrates the checkbox. Ultimately also because many lawyers recommend this approach in order to avoid aggravation.
Awesome, but we need a way to connect it to our crm and email marketing software like the "lead generation" form in thrive leads.. Can we expect this addition any time soon?
Looks great. But my lawyer sais that I should have an opt in check box under the contact form. GDPR (=DSGVO in German) makes this compulsory for websites in my profession. So how can I handle the problem?
Why can't I add shorcodes like [name] to the subject anymore?! (as shown at 8:42 ) That's a really important feature to get some order in my mailbox... :(
Awesome work as usual! Thank you so much Thrive Team :) On suggestion about the GDPR compliance: it would be great to have the possibility to add a Checkbox for Explicit Consent before sending the form, in which the visitor must agree the privacy policy or a custom message. Like the acceptance checkbox in Contact Form 7. Thanks one more time for all the improvements and new features!
I love Thrive Architect! Thank you for this video, BTW, the form glitch is still happening.. even when I go back to nothing selected, I can't select the form elements.. just thought I would let you know. ;)
I wish I could replace my Contact Form 7 with Thrive but Thrive does not let you edit the from email and also the email template - i.e. add some text to the footer
Hi Dirk, you can easily add a link to your privacy policy and a notification that when people submit a form they agree with the policy. Because there is no case in which the would be able to send a form without accepting the terms and conditions, you can make this a text link on the contact form.
THIS IS AMAZING! What would be the next level is ORDER FORM... I'm hoping that one day I'll able to drop order form on my page and sell my own products without using WooCommerce, SimpleCart, Gumroad, Selz, etc... that would be AWESOME... especially if I could do upsells, downsells and include order bumps. Are you planning something like that?
That would be pretty cool, yes. As I'm sure you can anticipate, it's a tall order. We're interested in building this kind of thing, but don't hold your breath for it to happen anytime soon.
Awesome new contact form thank you for adding that feature. Is there a way to add an image field so my customers have the ability to upload and send me image files?
Great! How do I connect the form to Mailchimp so that all the data gathered via my thrive architect form gets stored inside Mailchimp for segmentation and retargeting?
Is it pollible to prefill a form with a text (the user can or better cant change except of specific fields. ANd adding them with breaks, so it wont show all at one big line?
great!!! That looks so awesome! Is it possible to create acceptance checkboxes? or insert them with a code? i think for GDPR its very necessary to have this
Please.... The new forms on my Thrive architect are not having the "Email & Submit Setup" just like you have in this 3 years ago video Seems like the feature has been removed. I only have "Send leads to, After Successful Submission & Connections which is for API & HTML" How can I get this done so I can be receiving mails please?

Hi. How can I change the email that it's using to relay the messages? It seems that this element is sending the information to a random Cpanel email, which is then relaying it to the email I enter in the element. I don't think it uses SMTP Authentication, right? That's why when I test it, I'm receiving the emails 6 hours late.
Contact form leads don't get automatically added in anywhere. I just tried to use it myself after creating it on my page to test functionality, and it gives me an error message. I also tried in incognito mode- same thing. I'm updated with WP and Thrive- anything I should double check?
Can you do a tutorial for building headers and footers please? I cannot really find a good explenation for Thrive. I know elementor has a very nice feature for making headers and footers, but i cannot find anything alike in thrive.

Bro, we are totally (kind of, maybe) planning to. The thing is: getting a shopping cart type solution right is difficult. That's why there are so many awful ecommerce and membership plugins and so few good ones. Right now, it's not something we want to take on, as we have many more things to add to our existing products. But we realize the need and we want to build something in the space, sometime.

Thrive Themes is the best thing ever happened to me. Have build over 300 websites already in it in last 3 years.
Thanks for the styled forms to choose from in addition to the new features.
Also I love the added contact templates at the end, you guys are so generous :)
Thank you, Abigail!
YES! You have out done yourself again Thrive Themes. Love the focus on simplicity and what makes sense for the consumer.
Thank you!
This is absolutely brilliant. I have now removed my contact form plugin and used thrive contact form element instead. Looking forward to seeing a search box plugin in the future :)
