My 4 yo daughter is doing this in April with her performance school. Watched them for the 1st time today, and they are all so cute. Gotta love Annie. :-)
I love movies like this because everyone, extras and background orphans, are all so into it. half the fun is rewatching to pick out all the fun/crazy things they are doing!
Once a long time ago, My brothers and I were in trouble for breaking something in the house and our father ordered us to scrub every tile in our house (We had a huge house with almost all tile). So we were on our hands and knees and my older brother starts, "It's a hard knock life for us" and wipes the floor with the brush making the shh shh sound. hahha we sang our hearts out!
@cmt4eva This was not remixed. This is not a remix. It's the original (recording). Thank you so much for posting the original along w/ the lyrics, Michelle. Loved this movie as a kid and STILL do!
@hotshitonly1 Yes. This is a clip from the musical called "Annie" which was filmed in 1982. This is the original. They did a remake of this in 1999. Definitely rent it/see it! The original is ALWAYS the best!
@hannahappy2 I think the only reason I agree is because her dad is producing it. I think I'd be happy with her having the role if someone else was producing. Now when people see that they automatically think, "She got that role because of her dad". And she might actually be a great actress.
@Selithein Oh I agree! I was replying the comment which changed a line in the song so it was inappropriate. This was my favorite movie as a kid, and I bought it a little while ago. I also love Disney XD Not Disney channel though, if that's what you meant.
in the 99 version, the emotions are more realistic. In the 82 version they were jumping and dancing a lot more. But in the 99 version their singing was more angry and you could tell that they had been mistreated. That being said, I don't think the mood of the 82 film would have fitted with that style, so the songs are almost perfectly suited for each one.
well maybe you dont have a bit of love and humor in you couse if you grew up an orphan like i did you would love this movie so unless you have anything nice and polite to say bout this movie i suggest you dont say bad about it couse it is the best movie ever made back then.....
@artpeacemaster Actually, molly doesn't say "let's go" (and she definitely didn't say "Spongebob" given the character wasn't around and isn't relevant to the story but you knew that) She actually is saying "mud in your eye!" as part of her 'mistreat the orphans' Miss Hanigan impersonation
Ha I remember watching this as a kid and wondering how Annie managed to get that bright red sweater when literally every other kid is dressed in pastels... Also this version is the best, hands down.
@popbabyface22 i agree with you 100% i have ever only know the 80s version hell i never knew there was a 90s version i knew that there was two annie's one being the 80's version and the other were annine goes to say with warbox for christmas, i went on ebay toget the 80's version and they dont even have the 90s version there so it must not be very popular. If you ask me its just a waist of time and money making a 90s version cazse no mater what the 80's version is the best nd cant be betten
@sighcantthinkofaname Dude, this movie's a classic. it's not a kid's movie like the disney crap they put up nowadays, but it's actually a legit, excellent movie
we're doing this for a short play at school and the teachers changed Its a hard knock life for when you're an orphan kid to its a hard knock life for when you go to our school xD I'm one of the people who's in charge of the dance number and have no clue what to do

The 'hard knock' part comes in when they get the crap kicked out of them for destroying all those pillows....
The Girls, in this scene, remind me of the female version of the 'Dead End Kids'.
@iloverustythehorse my school is also doing it and i just got cast as Miss Hannigan! :D
@popbabyface22 there was a 90's version???
