When I was student at UCLA in 1980's, I loved to go Jazz club and John Wood was one of my most favorite musician! I still love his music.

Elmer was a great talent and friend. To have him pass away after singing this song during my show has kept me in state of melancholia. He was so wonderful to see and hear and such a sweet soul. Bless you Elmer. And my Mother thanks you

You had a beautiful voice Elmer, a calming voice and beautiful smile. You will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Richard and I are happy to have met you and Sylvia.

John is a dear old friend of mine and in the 40 or so years I have known him, he has always been "the real thing".

WOW!! Great music. My 1950's high school sweetheart* is sitting beside me as we enjoyed your rendition of this great tune. Brought back wonderful memories of our high school dates. "Twilight Time" was always the last tune played to close out the dance. *(Married 49 yrs this past April)

Thanks Bruce, I was trying to do some different things when I did this. The plan was to do a few tunes in this style, but the usual $ slowed it down to a nothing. So I paid for this session, and so here it is. Glad you enjoy it.

Velvet voice; piano perfect. What a happy find! So sorry there is sadness tied to it…

PI honors the life and musical legacy of Elmer Hopper.
    #ElmerHopper #ThePlatters #TheMillsBrothers #rip #ProducersIncorporated"
Elmer Hopper spent 21 years with The Platters. In 1974, at the age of nineteen, Elmer was trained personally by Paul Robi, (the baritone of the original group.) He accompanied Paul on an international tour spanning the globe from Japan and China, to Canada and Australia in what was said to be the best ensemble of The Platters since the group’s inception. In 1999, Elmer Hopper joined The Mills Brothers and continued to tour until his death this past weekend.
