I'm back! And Wish is back! I just checked and it's somehow been well over a year since the last Wish video, which is insane. I thought I'd leave it for a bit but accidentally left it FOREVER.
Anyway, our non-patented Lucky Nine system returns to slowly drain my bank balance and provide tat straight from where it's made. We've got a hearing aid! A sticker! A badge! Watches! A million bracelets! Some kid's learning toy! And a whole lot more!

The fact that the sticker is just a photo of another sticker and somehow costs more than most of the items fits really well for betrayal.

The spelling thing - you put the card at the back so the kid only sees the picture. They spell it with the tiles and then you move it forward so they can learn from their mistakes. (Riding crop not included.)
I was thinking the same thing but then how would they see the picture of the next card in the back once you put a single card in the front slot?

Hey Ashens, just a quick note on the hearing amplifier!
Just to quickly distinguish between a hearing aid and a hearing amplifier, hearing aids are tailored to the person they're for. They take the frequencies where a person has hearing loss and boosts the incoming signal of just those frequencies so said person can then hear what they are missing out on, generally for people with age related hearing loss it will be things like the higher frequencies (from say 3000hz to 8000hz) and is the reason older people will say everyone is mumbling due to the detail of speech being found in those higher frequencies.
Something like a hearing amplifier is a literal 1 to 1 boost, taking EVERYTING that is fed into the mics on the amplifier and boosting it all by however much. While these are much cheaper compared to hearing aids, they will generally not help a large portion of people who have hearing loss as most people with things like high frequency loss need specific frequencies boosted, but can be helpful for people who have had hearing loss occur evenly over all frequencies (something that normally happens due to hearing damage rather than age related hearing loss).
The garbled mess that was your voice could be where it's trying to filter out the wearers voice (although for such a low cost I doubt it) or it could be that, due to your voice being so close to the amplifier, it's just massively distorting it as it's a louder source of audio so close to the device!

proper smart hearing aids also have a bunch of filtering and listen to your jaw bone so they know not to massively boost your own voice and will cut out when exposed to damaging volume levels and sounds.
How come they don't go up to 20000hz on hearing aids is it too expensive or does it exist cuz I believe with the right tech hearing aids will get that great one day my uncle toms 1500 dollar pair can hook up to his Bluetooth and u can and an audiooligist can ajust it we've came along way and it can only get more advanced
@@phillipallen5564 So the human hearing system can only hear to around 15,000hz reliably with hearing loss starting from as low as 4,000hz in your typical age related hearing loss. Most of the things that you'll hear from day to day will fall between the 3,000 to 8,000hz range so anything past that isn't going to be needed in day to day life. Human voice doesn't really go over 300hz with regards to pitch and the finer details of speach fall around the 3,000hz point!
The bluetooth options for hearing aids makes things SO much easier and quicker! Connecting hearing aids previously used ribbon cables and larger external interfaces that are clunky and just look unprofessional. It's so much nicer to just ask someone to turn their hearing aids off and on again then bam you can get things fixed in a matter of seconds!
It's still technically a hearing "aid" cuz the sound amplifier still "aids" your hearing, but it's not an actual "hearing aid" but it "aids" hearing lol

It was someone's job to put that single dog sticker into an envelope to go to a random address in the UK. That fact is worth thinking about for a moment.
Otherwise, the plastic on that torch made me feel kinda nostalgic for the cheap toys my grandma used to buy me for Christmas 20 years ago, and I feel like I've seen that exact pin badge on punks' leather jackets before now.
The bland bracelets is a blessing for Ashens - now he has extra merch for the next con he goes to.
TBH I kinda like some of them and would wear them.

Tiny usb cables need love too... Using a DAC with a mobile with a 2m cable in between. You'll end up with a bunch of Christmas tree lights trying to untangle you.
The second watch looks like a quality dupe of a Timex watch we sold a ton of when I sold jewelry in a department store. I think they retailed about $30-50.
Timex Mk I I think they're called, A watch that is well respected for what it is. MacGyver even used one.
I always used to get Timex watches because of their brilliant Indiglo feature, stil would but need a talking watch now.

I looked it up and the forgiven bracelet at ~22:15 is not _exactly_ the same as the one in Wish Random Item 6. They are, however, likely made by the same source. So while the Bland bracelets came in at around 44 pence a piece, the single forgiven bracelet in the other review was 2 pounds(!) alone.
So, he could get his money back and then some on resale. Better get down the ca boot pronto Stuart!

The second watch looked quite decent for the price. Most likely a Miyota based quartz movement. The fully lumed dial wasn't particularly strong, but for 5 quid any lume is a bonus. Also, I liked the classic field watch design of it. Keep it as a beater for when you want to give your Seiko Kinetic a rest, or when you're stacking stones, or throwing rocks at the old people by the channel.

The Littlest Hobo is both on RUclips and on dvd. My husband actually showed me the show since he joked about the Littlest Hobo holding a gun in the show's intro and I was confused on what he was talking about. It's definitely something the US missed out on because it's such a batshit insane show
In this ever-changing world (and not for the better) it is so reliefing to see that Ashens content remains the same and really good.

I used to work in inventory for a chain of drugstores, and I've counted many disposable hearing aid batteries over the years.

The wording “cold light” in the watch’s instructions sound like something from a science fiction novel. I don’t know why it somehow stuck out to me, but it sounds rather nice.

The phone card pic was interesting. Not so long ago, the picture would've shown a push button phone or maybe even a rotary dial phone. Goes to show how times are changing - and how old I am.
My grandpa got me a random wish/aliexpress item for my birthday its like a camera you can connect to your phone that can go inside ur ear to check for blockage (i have a iphone so can't and dont wanna connect a tech thing from those sites to my phones haha)
He also got me a fake book with a hidden safe in it! Loved that one

The torch is actually not too bad. I bought one similar, weighs near nothing, but with just LEDs, it is surprisingly bright and long lasting.

I have one of those torches for seeing what I'm doing in the coal bunker on a dark night.
Really useful, I can just leave it on the floor with the side light on and pointing up and it illuminates the entire bunker. Using an old fashioned torch, I'd have to try and shovel coal(well, smokeless ovoids these days, but same procedure) into a bucket whilst also holding the torch and keeping it pointed in the right direction.

Yeah, that crappy a single sticker for that price is definitely a betrayal. Looking at that one bag of bracelets,,,I get a biker gang theme overall, to be honest. That said, the torch and the second watch are pretty good value for the money (the first one looks like something you'd get at the dollar store/poundland.) The cloisonne pin is just amusing...especially since it was still cheaper than the sticker. :-)

The reason it's hard to read the word when the card is in the holder is because the idea is that the kid spells the word based only in the picture then checks. Wouldn't really be testing them if the idea was to just copy the spelling from the card.

Holy shit, that Soki watch is almost identical to a watch my dad just got today, main differences are the back (the one my dad got is a screw back which seals up better), the second hand is black, the brand, and the price, the one my dad got was $15 I think.
