Am I the only one who watches a 2 hour long Ants Pants video, and wishes it were twice as long? Best entertainment I get all week. Great job as always!
Yep 2 hours is not enough of Ants , one of the best channels on RUclips , I dont understand why he has only 50K subs !!!!! A great set of stairs , the granite looks fantastic , and again you have built something that will survive anything (like all the other earthquake resistant items) and outlive you !! Please Ants keep em coming !!
You are on a roll! Don’t know how you find the time and energy to do all your fantastic projects, film and edit it, and make it more interesting, entertaining and humourous than any documentary!

Ant, after watching all of your videos I know for sure your trade is not construction because you are a true Artist...the details you put into your work and the unique designs prove you are a fantastic Artist....
Every time i watch your videos I have a new found respect for you and your work ethic. You never shy away from taking any job head-on. That was a ton work you have put into that stair case and it turned out super cool. The earthy wooden cabin with a touch of indutrial feel to it. Your videos are always entertaining whether 6min or 2hrs long. I enjoy them equally...If super human being had to have a name...it would be ANDRIS . You rock👌🏼
Wow, what an awesome job. My wife said watching you improvise when putting the stairs back together reminds her of watching me. I do the exact same thing Sometimes out of necessity, no one around to help, but a lot of times is because I work better alone and enjoy the challenges of doing so. Looks like you do as well possibly.
I just finished watching all the Cabin video's from start to now, you, my friend, have exceptional skills and great vision!. The transformation of this cabin was amazing.
After 2,887 hours of youtube last year I had the fortune of having Jonathan's compilation pop into my downloads. May I tell you how happy I am to find your channel Ants Pants! Not laughed harder nor fell more in awe of any content ever, so thank you from the bottom of my once broken heart
That steel construction reminds me of the ladders (Navy term for stairway) between decks of an aircraft carrier. If you slip your shins will hate you for it. Awesome!
Hi Ants. Interesting episode this week, I love how you work it out as you go along. But you always manage to get what you want. Mind you that last leg is a bit steep, but it looks ok. I love the wire feature, looks very classy. How you do it all by yourself is just amazing, keep it up, look forward to next week 👍

Wow, another great evening sitting with my feet up, drinking a cold beer and watching you work! The steps look great and once again I learned so much from this weeks video. First thing I learned was why they put instructions in boxes.....TO START FIRES WITH! The next thing I learned is we are changing the name of the channel to "A man and his drill, a love story." (I think it's legal here in the US) Stay safe and warm my friend, until next time.😉

You could have done a 45' step on the platform to lift up another 20cm. I would also weld a flat bar perpendicular to the wall plates going up under the steps. This will stiffen the plate steel and tie the steps together at the wall. Love your work.

as always thanks for the videos......hindsight lol i think i would have run the stringer up the centre of the steps cutting the unsupported span in half and minimizing flex in the tread but you can always add it there later when you decide it is uncomfortable if your stairs flex under you. ps a change in riser height mid run on a straight run of stairs of more than about 6mm would cause issues but as you change after a transition to the platform it should be ok perhaps a lot of stubbed toes going up in the first stair after the platform going up and coming down a heavy step to the first stair down but i doubt it will be a deal breaker.
A one of a kind, is there anything you cannot do? I admire your positivity, even when things go not so good. A small strip joining all the steps on the outside would give a lot more support to each step, it would spread the load with the one above and the one below it, it will also protect you from the sharp corners. I see you realised the saw blade was put on backwards before you used it 🤫at least it looked that way. All in all a smart job.👌 Who needs plans, they are just a waste of paper.
