Well, because real life is like the worst version of those crap mobile games, 90% of the players start with nothing, you have to grind like crazy in repetitive boring jobs for a few coins, the game is pay to win, the few lucky ones are born into rich families, and then can unlock everything. You cannot customize your role points or even appearance at the beginning of the game, again a few 5% will win the loot box, getting the gorgeous looks, athletic healthy bodies, or higher IQ's. Nonetheless, f you good at lying you can bypass the anti-cheat, by becoming a politician or nut religious leader, (the only way a untalented average joe can become rich) And forget about action, your body is as fragile as crystal, become weaker with age and use, so playing war, extreme sports, car racing, diving, is extremely dangerous, and as those hardcore NES games you only have one chance or is over. Every new game your memory is wiped out, so you loose all the experience points, a total hardcore kind of game.

Ive been playing this game 51 years. Ive allowed many of the challenges turn me into a NPC. I was once a man with purpose who was a servant to other players. I was leveling up higher then anyone around me. Level 49 i started to take a nose dive. The game got very hard and i basically gave up playing. Being a NPC is no fun whatsoever. There's still time to bring this character back to life. This video got me inspired to think a different way. Hopefully the action i take will get me out of NPC mode and back into high level warrior mode. Thank you Chase. Congrats on your rewards having 2 other players become a big part of your game. I play alone and although i love the peace, it does get lonely at times

This is the best analogy I have heard for life. I was in an accident and lost my leg last year and didn't have an outlet to keep my thoughts distracted anymore learning a new life in a wheelchair. I have been journaling these perspectives to leave for my 13 year old daughter, so maybe it resonates in their own experiences one day. I couldn't articulate it in a way that you did here though. I watched this when it was first posted and thought it would be a perfect vehicle to crystallise so many important life lessons I have shared with my 18yo gamer boys. We’re on a trip to Iceland this week so having chatted about it to them a few times before I took the opportunity tonight to watch it with them…and they really got it. Genius! You're brilliant. My teamate and I been playing Earth for over 40years now. We didn't team up until we were about 20 levels into it. After we passed 2 levels together, we added 3 players. Adding a new character is so fun and easy but guiding them through the tutorial is no joke! After adding a player, the levels become more difficult. Anyway, now 2 of those players added a player of their own. These 2 newly added characters are my favorite. It's funny cause they think the game Earth is so easy!! Aw,I miss those lower levels. We don't play much with the 3 characters we added because they like to play late at night. But It's funny how these players would pop up whenever they need to level up on tokens and nourishment. However, the 2 most recent characters love playing with us. I also now feel the tutorial isn't too bad this time around. Sorry, gotta go, I'm playing right now and can tell I'm coming up to a boss I gotta challenge. Ooooh, this is Loud & Mean Boss! (Earth bosses have funny names) Wish me luck, actually, I don't need luck, I've faced this boss before, I know what all the weak points are 😊 Any advice on defeating the end boss at level 50 is much appreciated. I heard that one is a beast!! 😜 UPDATE: I have some cheat codes to Earth. I've noticed the game always plays tricks on me. Every time I face these Mad Bosses, the game tricks me by making the boss look like my teamate. Oh, but I'm privy to its ways and can now differentiate between the two. It only took 10 levels to figure it out 🤦♂️ Anyway, my "cheat code" to defeating these bosses or i guess changing their difficulty settings to "Level Easy", is to complete different tasks throughout the game before facing the boss. This trick weakens the boss at the knees, making the victory easier. Sometimes, my teamate and I tag-team these tasks, but for the most part, I gotta do them on my own. I do get extra points and an extra life whenever I figure out what these tasks are without needing a clue from my teamate. I lose points and strength whenever I assign a task to my teamate so I stopped doing that a long time ago since my strength has become less as I advance in Ievels. So, now I just passively leave clues and hints around the base, hoping my teamate will notice.

Had to cut ties with some bad actors and focused on leveling up my character and the 4 little characters I created. Wish I would have had this tutorial from the beginning and I would be LEVELS ahead of where I am today. BUT, still working on it! 🙂

I began levelling up when I became aware of being on autopilot. I reevaluated my life choices and started to understand how my character works. Through this I discovered a whole host of cognitive distortions, bias thinking, autopilot programming, dopamine addiction, cortisol overload, the list goes on. I respawned at level 42 and I am so far doing much better.😊

This is an incredibly creative and intelligent presentation. It gave me a whole different perspective on how "The Game" works! My grandmother, who lived well into old age, with her mind in good shape, had a curious mind and a positive outlook. I believe that's a good part of what kept her viable for so long.

An NPC, brilliant. I've played many console games and this never once occurred to me, the parallels. Watching this video it dawned on me that I was creating and recreating the same pattern of behavior and outcomes over and over. I managed to improve my life and am giving my experience to others by supporting people beyond their cognitive ability to solve problems that often happen based on stress and the fact that „the organism does what made it successful“. I do this supporting the natural ability of self-regulation of our ANS. People who experience these changes are gaining resilience and improving their ability to handle stressful moments. I‘ve seen people with problems that could not be solved by cognitive therapy being ‚healed‘ after one session supporting the regulation of their ANS. Most take a little longer and improving life very fundamental is the opportunity when following this path for a longer time - as I decided to do.

I was playing the game from a master level in my teen years, but attracted attention from the game hackers who hacked, shattered and all but left me for dead through a variety of psychological and physical abuse and systematic torture which left a lot of deep wounds and a heart of stone in me. I've been a broken character for decades going nowhere and life has no meaning to me anymore. I think I'm making progress but upon closer inspection I've been going in circles, a marathon loop as well as had triggers installed in my hard drive which leads to dead ends. I'm at a loss to understand why life is beyond cruel and why I remain stuck despite many various attempts to heal from the inside out

I watched this when it was first posted and thought it would be a perfect vehicle to crystallise so many important life lessons I have shared with my 18yo gamer boys. We’re on a trip to Iceland this week so having chatted about it to them a few times before I took the opportunity tonight to watch it with them…and they really got it. It has pulled together so many points of advice I have chatted through with them over the years in a language and framework they really get. They were riveted throughout. Genius! You're brilliant.
My teamate and I been playing Earth for over 40years now. We didn't team up until we were about 20 levels into it. After we passed 2 levels together, we added 3 players. Adding a new character is so fun and easy but guiding them through the tutorial is no joke! After adding a player, the levels become more difficult.
Anyway, now 2 of those players added a player of their own. These 2 newly added characters are my favorite. It's funny cause they think the game Earth is so easy!! Aw,I miss those lower levels.
We don't play much with the 3 characters we added because they like to play late at night. But It's funny how these players would pop up whenever they need to level up on tokens and nourishment. However, the 2 most recent characters love playing with us. I also now feel the tutorial isn't too bad this time around.
Sorry, gotta go, I'm playing right now and can tell I'm coming up to a boss I gotta challenge. Ooooh, this is Loud & Mean Boss! (Earth bosses have funny names) Wish me luck, actually, I don't need luck, I've faced this boss before, I know what all the weak points are 😊
Any advice on defeating the end boss at level 50 is much appreciated. I heard that one is a beast!! 😜
UPDATE: I have some cheat codes to Earth. I've noticed the game always plays tricks on me. Every time I face these Mad Bosses, the game tricks me by making the boss look like my teamate. Oh, but I'm privy to its ways and can now differentiate between the two. It only took 10 levels to figure it out 🤦♂️
Anyway, my "cheat code" to defeating these bosses or i guess changing their difficulty settings to "Level Easy", is to complete different tasks throughout the game before facing the boss. This trick weakens the boss at the knees, making the victory easier. Sometimes, my teamate and I tag-team these tasks, but for the most part, I gotta do them on my own. I do get extra points and an extra life whenever I figure out what these tasks are without needing a clue from my teamate. I lose points and strength whenever I assign a task to my teamate so I stopped doing that a long time ago since my strength has become less as I advance in Ievels. So, now I just passively leave clues and hints around the base, hoping my teamate will notice.

It took me so many years to even get it that life is a game... what are the rules of the game, how the game of life is played to be successful. I listened it 3-4 times & took notes to repeat this & get it in my brain s(the correct playing of this game becomes a habit)..

Had to cut ties with some bad actors and focused on leveling up my character and the 4 little characters I created. Wish I would have had this tutorial from the beginning and I would be LEVELS ahead of where I am today. BUT, still working on it! 🙂

I began levelling up when I became aware of being on autopilot. I reevaluated my life choices and started to understand how my character works. Through this I discovered a whole host of cognitive distortions, bias thinking, autopilot programming, dopamine addiction, cortisol overload, the list goes on. I respawned at level 42 and I am so far doing much better.😊

At first, I was going to click off when I realized you were talking about a video game. But, your voice lulled me into continuing. I’m so glad I did! While I’m not a video game player, I am a player in life. Mine got stalled for a while due to outside forces, but I’m working on getting back in the *game*. This is an incredibly creative and intelligent presentation. It gave me a whole different perspective on how "The Game" works! My grandmother, who lived well into old age, with her mind in good shape, had a curious mind and a positive outlook. I believe that's a good part of what kept her viable for so long.

Watching this video it dawned on me that I was creating and recreating the same pattern of behavior and outcomes over and over. I managed to improve my life and am giving my experience to others by supporting people beyond their cognitive ability to solve problems that often happen based on stress and the fact that „the organism does what made it successful“. I do this supporting the natural ability of self-regulation of our ANS. People who experience these changes are gaining resilience and improving their ability to handle stressful moments.
I‘ve seen people with problems that could not be solved by cognitive therapy being ‚healed‘ after one session supporting the regulation of their ANS. Most take a little longer and improving life very fundamental is the opportunity when following this path for a longer time - as I decided to do.

I was playing the game from a master level in my teen years, but attracted attention from the game hackers who hacked, shattered and all but left me for dead through a variety of psychological and physical abuse and systematic torture which left a lot of deep wounds and a heart of stone in me. I've been a broken character for decades going nowhere and life has no meaning to me anymore. I think I'm making progress but upon closer inspection I've been going in circles, a marathon loop as well as had triggers installed in my hard drive which leads to dead ends. I'm at a loss to understand why life is beyond cruel and why I remain stuck despite many various attempts to heal from the inside out
