Memories of my first nintendo game ever. I remember playing shine runners for 100 rounds before I forgot to charge my DS, and then I would play on many tracks of my choosing, including rainbow road. I feel really old right now.
It was fun when i was 4 i deleted my brothers save file twice in 2010. I was 5 and stupid. Anyways after the second time he didnot try to beat so years later in 2017 i beat it again i think either 3 stars on every cup or A i dont remember
Was I the only one who made lyrics to this song as a kid? Something about making up little lyrics to all the ds mario kart songs helped me focus in racing
I still have Mario Kart DS to this day And Rainbow Road is one of my favorite tracks. And yet to this day, people who remember how to snake-drive still play this game
@AJ Genovese ROB was my favorite character for a LONG time, then i noticed he wasn't that good and i started using dry bones. even though i was never that good at the game i always had fun with it. i could beat most of my friends and my sister. good times

When I listen to this I get flashbacks to sitting alone at lunch in 3rd grade and humming this to myself since I had nobody to talk to. I am 17 now and still feel sad and lonely, but at least I have this song to make me feel better.

Rares M I always thought of rainbow road as a symbolic journey to heaven or the after life. Think about it, its usually the last track in the game and it's almost like the different cups are you aging and accomplishing different things and then in the end you drive up the rainbow road to heaven

This to me was the easiest Rainbow Road in my opinion. I remember when my DS broke and could only display the bottom screen, and I learned how to play while only using my map. I somehow was better at playing that way than I was from using the top screen. I was weird as an 11 year old.
The only thing that makes this Rainbow Road hard is when someone places a banana peel on the loop. Probably the most evil tactic in MKDS that I know of.
Man!!! This is such a good composition. It’s also a ridiculously fun track with the loopdeloops. It will be a sin not to see this make a comeback in wave 5 or 6 of Booster pass given that MK8 has potential to elevate the track further with antigrav (and also give us another BANGER remix). Also praying for R.O.B. as a DLC character 😭

As a kid, I would always wait until the part at 0:38 of the song came on before going on the big loop, because the sound of the speed loop with the music sounded 10x more satisfying to me.
100 percent agree! If they remaster this track for the dlc I hope they add more obstacles and tweak the track design a little bit. I also hope they remaster this track for the remixed music!
