Watch my demonstration and review of the popular Einhell GE-CT cordless strimmer. Here I test this bladed strimmer on grass and weeds, I also explain the features, specs and pros and cons.
I think this is a great lightweight strimmer for domestic use and would be perfect for small and medium-sized gardens.
Here's my review on our website: diygardening.co.uk/gardening-...
I paid £89 for the strimmer and battery/charger on Amazon: amzn.to/3R9mjB1

This review was very informative and comprehensive. I especially liked the review of the plastic cutting blades, the reference point ("I am 6'2") regarding an individual's height and the adjustment potential of the machine, and the review of the reviews posted on Amazon! Bravo! A great job. I am not sure whether I will buy one but if I do I will know what to expect given this extensive review.
I have just bought one of these, it cuts well I'm happy, my battery is 4.0 ah 18v it's quite heavy battery, other then that it's great I had a lawn that hadnt been cut since winter so had a good 4 inch growth, and glided through it
My Einhell GE-CT 18 Li has an adjustment to turn the cutting head by 90 degrees to use as an edge trimmer.
Thank you! Just ordered this one, can't wait to test it myself. :)
Great detailed review. Thanks for posting. I’ve already got the battery and charger from an einhell drill Result!
Really comprehensive review, I watched before I purchased one. Many thanks. …
Currently 55 quid in Wickes with a free battery and charger, also 10% off with tradepro 😎
Damn, I got one from Wickes yesterday, the version with the battery and charger and it was £76. About to use it now...
It's about £50 without battery and charger, which is rather good to be honest. I've already got a set of 2.5ah and 4.0ah batteries so bought the bare unit.
I got one of these today £54 without battery but I have an Einhell drill that has 2 batteries 😁
Very useful informationa
Just bought it (31st May) with a discount code bringing total cost to just over 50 quid for the strimmer, battery, charger and replacement blades.
I don't suppose yours came with the charger for...£89
Can I ask if youve ever used a metal cutting disc that some brands offer, & if so, how well do they get through brambles and very thick weeds (as I assume that's what the metal discs are for) ive never used a cord/flex strimmer yet, where you don't have to constantly have to take the cap off & keep rethreading the flex. Hopefully these...tag type blades don't break off/wear so easily
My friend, can you use it upside down to edge lawns ??
This a good Strimmer for your Mum, light easy to change blades ok for light work
I am very wary about buying another Einhell strimmer after the last one which was probably the worst piece of machinery I have ever purchased - the cutting cord lasted about 20 seconds of light use before it was cut off to the base and when I tried to extend it, it was all fused inside. When I had managed to extract it, the motor burned up after another 20 seconds and it was fit for the bin only. This one looks a bit more sturdy, but I am afraid that the build quality might be poor and I don't want to pour money down the drain again.
I have this strimmer.
The weak link are the blades.
Fine on grass but they wear very quickly if you are strimming weeds from you patio or drive.
They are made of a very cheap plastic.
It would be nice if you could get metal or tough nylon ones, if required.
I guess that's what explains the cheaper price compared to ryobi/makita
Okay, I've bought this strimmer and for the absolute life of me i can't work out the correct adjustment/stance for the cutting head and handle to do decent edging work - can you post a follow up?
I'm mostly interested in the health of the lawn after it was cut with those plasticky things. Does the grass tear awfully and become yellow like they usually do with these toys?
We need to see what you’re doing
Wickes are doing deal get a second battery for free only costing £76 including 10% trade discount and charger and 2x batteries
You go far too fast, and you miss out an action, when fitting the strimmer. It is not assembled as you show it in you video.
You are too quick! Can't see what you are doing that well :(
