Heym really cool and well explained video. I have a doubt maybe you can help me. if i want the hat pass behind the cube, how can i keep the cube as a casting shadow object while hidding the hat in the moment that pass behind. is the quesiton clear enought?
I have followed this tutorial many times with different models and ever time when i go to the compositing tab. The models and shadows do not show and the render layers are empty? I have searched everywhere for an answer but no one else seems to have this issue.

Yes, there's compositor tab in Blender where you can do the same with nodes.
