The paper clutter “just looks like a bunch of misery” - true this! I was inspired by your channel to systematically go thru all my files and rid them of unnecessary old statements, EOBs, etc. So freeing... Thank you Gayle and Ed!
Thank you Gayle and Ed for all your inspiration! I love the idea of taking deliberate breaks from decluttering and organizing and consciously preparing for picking it up again. I will remember that! Happy Holidays! Also, I can hardly wait for your next episode. :-)
I clean up while listening to you two and your zen voices. You're the motivation and cheerleaders and an important part of my team! Thanks for all that you do!
I've put several many projects on hold for several many months now including watching your videos because it was all just too much for me. And I'm ok with that. I did just clear off a mantle though. I put the Christmas villages away that had been up for over a year.... Two Christmas's... I'm very proud of myself.
There's a CGI Christmas Carol that looks almost like The Polar Express style of people, that is semi funky looking but still funny and impactful. AND there's an All Dogs Christmas which is sort of like the Christmas Carol plot but it has the dog characters from All Dogs go to Heaven.
I’ve been laid up with a broken ankle since Sept 14! Can’t walk yet. In bed or recliner. So:my coffee table gets hit daily with ‘stuff’. Mail, pop cabs, water bottles, just a mess. So now u have a garbage bag by my recliner. Put trash in this. I’m working the problem. Doing physical therapy exercises to get going again. Next year will improve! Pat in Colorado
The trash can right there is a great idea! Create what you need there to support you while you recover. Create some temporary solutions to handling mail and recycling, etc. Once you’re better you can go back to what you were doing before. Get well soon!
I get this for sure! I moved from a house to a one-bedroom apartment on November 4th and I've had two Emergency Operations on my left eye since December 7th so no decorations up, no gifts wrapped, house is not clean and laundry is not done. I am trying to keep the surfaces clear now though just by carrying things to the kitchen or trash or whatever a few things at a time every time I get up. It's going to be a very different Christmas this year but I have lots of friends so I will be alright.
Ed, don't miss Tim Curry reading A Christmas Carol on RUclips. And, the 1962 Mr Magoo cartoon was the first version of ACC that I ever knew. Merry Christmas, y'all!
Gayle, thanks for your inspiration. Any advice for those of us who get started on an important task long put off, get distracted at some point only to realize some time later the task is buried under current, now immobilizing paperwork also needing (sometimes urgent)attention?
Pick which one gets attention first. The paperwork or the original project. They both need attention, so it doesn’t matter which one you pick. Choose one and get to it. You’ll be able to finish it and get to the next one when you’re done. Just remember to pace yourself, you can’t work nonstop. Make regular appts to keep working until you’re done. Good luck!
There is a picture of you in a little circle on the screen sometimes like a profile picture or something. You are much prettier than that picture so you should put a new one on there! If you are like me it's probably an old picture that you never think about changing. So I probably need to change mine too LOL.

I read this comment and dumped a bunch of misery in the trash after ripping up personal info. I’ve been putting off for ages as too hard 😂
The Clutter Fairy & friends have the most inspiring organizing show ever made!
Thanks so much Kay! That’s the kindest thing to say! I’m going to quote you, if you don’t mind!
I cleared my mind doing paperwork, bringing everything to their home right away, feels great and made space for the holiday
Good job!
You guys help me keep on track, thank you! Hope you have very happy holidays!

Do you guys not have an Instagram anymore? I couldn't find it.
We're still there, although I'm not super active- I can only manage so much social media! @theclutterfairy
@@TheClutterFairy Thank you !!! I'm gonna find you and follow you if I can ☺️
