Vitrimers Behavior Understanding, EVERGREEN Project

IRT Saint Exupéry has launched its 1st project on vitrimers: EVERGREEN.
Carbon/Vitrimer composites will be able to retain in-service temperature properties similar to those of thermoset composites, while adding reshapability, reprocessability and recyclability properties - a real paradigm shift for aeronautical materials.
The aim of the project is to understand the behavior of epoxy-based vitrimers during processing (impregnation, pultrusion, RTM, etc.). This ranges from material/process relationships to characterization.
