Pawpaws are a challenge there in the northwest. They were a challenge for me in Colorado Springs. I did get them to fruit planting them against an east wall. I loved your video. You have so many nice trees.
Nice my Jiro persimmon didn’t grow much this year in ground and the Matsumoto Wase had a fruit and less than two feet tall. I should have taken the fruit off but wanted to see if it would ripen and it did.
My Fuyu didn't grow at all since planting last year's fall. Unlike Saijo and Rossiyanka. I had to battle aphids, june and japanese beetles as well here in GA.
I traded with a person on the scion exchange group. It’s wasn’t really for sale. I will have scion in the future. Join the North American scion exchange group on Facebook
That sounds delicious lol I can’t wait to taste that variety. I almost bought a grafted tree of it but didn’t because I figured I’d wait until the Ohio pawpaw fest to try some varieties before I spent the money on the tree in case I did not like it.
I’m so jealous of all the different varieties you have. What is your location? I thought they didn’t transfer well and shouldn’t be grown in pots…?… guess not lol
It’s not a kit, but I purchased the aluminum structure. Was not made to be a greenhouse, everything else, the plastic, foundation, etc I had to design and build myself.
@@nickkasko2097 I grow about 20 fig cultivars myself, including Strawberry Verte. I have Wabash, KSU Benson, and KSU Chappell pawpaw trees on the way in the spring. I ate pawpaws on the farm with my grandparents in the late 90's and early 2000's, Never forgot about that, and finally have some time & space.
Yes the roots don’t get “air pruned” this way but they do get “fabric pruned” the tight weave doesn’t allow the root to expand after it pierces the fabric bag so it effectively gets cut off. You are correct that it is no longer an air pruning pot but it isn’t a traditional pot either. I have found that the plants do much better with it wrapped like that and when I plant in ground, the roots have no circling
I love your setup. Thank for sharing!
amazing plants, greenhouse is dope!

Banana cantaloupe is exactly how I describe it to people. But I’m not a fan of either.
Where did you get your Sophie's Gift scion from?
