Love, love, love my ko2s they handle great!!!in all weather, love playing in snow and off road even in 2wheel drive my wrangler hooks up in the snow fantastically
Theyre good except for fast puddles. Theyre terrible. No v sipes to wade the water out fast. Offroad no issues except for stopping at inclines and moving back up.
My old man ran the old BFG KOs on his old 88 cruiser, and I ran KOs on my old fourby before I got rid of it, because I knew they were quality. Now I've finally got a fourby again I'm going straight to KO2s on it.
I always have use the BF Goodrich and I did buy a truck that had Coper Discover A/T on now I have have 4 puncture's in one year. I go back to BF Goodrich KO2 they hold and last ! My last KO2 did last me 60000km. I recommend BF Goodrich for sure. Best regards from Sweden 🇸🇪
I can see why Davey, they are fairly popular here in Australia as well, it’s near impossible to buy a new set here at the moment. Thanks for watching 👍
I had and like milestar patagonia mud tires and LOVED how they dug through some Crazy terrain, but decided to go All terrain and found a deal on these after searching for a month on what my next set would be. Having a friend give me some extra 17 wheels will help me with an old set of Mudd play tires to add later and swap if needed so I can have 2 full sets for under $1000 works for me.
My use is similar to yours and I have KO2s on my Hilux I’ve used BFG a on my 3 previous Defenders and have probably covered 250,000 MILES with these tyres and never had a puncture or any issues with them, when my factory fit tyres were up for replacement I looked at everything else over a matter of months and settled on BFGs again. Any regrets? Absolutely not.
I hear you about the price jump, I was going to get them again but it’s going to be months before they are available and that was talking to a couple of sources. Thanks for watching 👍
I haved owned quite of few sets of BFG A/T and M/T tires on my Jeep Wranglers and my F350 PS Diesel. They require frequent tire rotation every 8,000 kms or they feather edge and cup badly from my experience. They also wear quite fast for what they cost when you get into 33 and 35 inch tires. I give them a 7.5 out of 10 because they are very good in the snow for a A/T tire.
Great piece of advice. I agree with you, regular tyre rotation is a must if you want to have the longest tyre life possible, however that’s not just BFGs it is any tyre, on road and off road, but the bigger and wider the tyre the more prone they are to that kind of wear. Thanks for watching 👍
@@EveryRoadAdventures I agree 100% the bigger sizes are way more prone to that type of wear. I have found from my experience that my 33s and 35s lasted appr 70-80 kms on my vehicles. For me that's about three years of driving back and forth to work. Here in Canada a BFG KO2 costs about $400 dollars in a 33 inch diameter. The spare has to be included also every second set of tires I buy because even if you don't ever rotate your spare in it is only safe for 7 years from time the tire was produced. So I tend to buy cheaper brands of A/T tires these days like Firestone A/Ts. Cheers take care brother.
Oh ouch 35k out of the wild peaks that’s no good, I’ve seen a few people starting to use them but I hadn’t heard anything about them. Hopefully the BFGs are good to you. Thanks for watching 👍
No problem, thanks for watching. My tyres are 265/75r17 on the standard MN Triton GLX-R Alloy rims. I also have a 2inch(I think it’s technically 46mm) Ironman Lift kit fitted.
Thanks for the question. It depends on what you are comparing them to, if you are comparing the KO2s to a highway terrain tyre then yes they are going to be quite a bit noisier however if you are comparing them to a Mud Terrain tyre then they are quite a bit quieter. I only found the KO2s to become noticeably noisy once they wore to the end of their life. I hope that helps. Thanks for watching 👍
I am using BF Goodrich tyres K02 265/60 R18 for my Fortuner Legender. I need to know what PSI should I keep in them (front and back) if I am using it for city drive in summers in weather of where its 45 degrees centigrade at 1 pm in afternoon. Evenings is 35 degrees.
Ultimately I haven’t heard of any wide spread reports on the KO2s badly Aqua planing. Have I experienced any aqua planing on wet roads with these KO2s, yes, however in my experience it has been no worse than any other tyre that I have been driving on, low profile or 4x4 tyre, in comparable conditions, but that is just my opinion and experience.
Hey thanks for the excellent review!! I’ve been watching multiple reviews tonight & ive hot to say I got more out of your review than I did some of these self proclaimed pro tyre review people!! You says in this video at 8:00 that you never felt the tires sliperry on roads, but I've read other reviews saying that the ko2 are very dangerous on wet asphalt... Don't know who to trust
Thanks for watching the video Jussimir. The views in this video are my opinion and I never felt like I couldn’t trust the tyres, I felt that the KO2s were a really great all round tyre. As for other reviews saying they are very dangerous on wet asphalt I’d be interested to know how hard they were pushing the vehicle and tyres on that wet asphalt? Was it that the tyres really were dangerous? Or was it that they were pushing the vehicle and subsequently their tyres beyond their capabilities? Was there oil on the road that they didn’t see? Or was it a really smooth asphalt that they were driving on that could prove dangerous to a majority of tyres? Just some food for thought. Thanks again for watching and thanks for you question.
Thanks for your question. No you didn’t miss it, that was something that I didn’t cover in this video, so here is the load ratings for the KO2s that are in that video. Thanks for watching and thanks for the question. I run 38 psi on the road and then adjust them as the different road surfaces require. I hope this helps.
@@EveryRoadAdventures Thanks for the reply. I have ordered a set of KO2 and just wanted to get the best out of them. @@EveryRoadAdventures Sure thing. Thinking that I will give the KO2 a go out here in the American Southwest and Great Basin. I'll switch to Blizzacks for the peak winter months.
These would have to be the worst tyres i have ever had. On a wet road i went a round a round about and my life flash before my eyes I spent the day sideways i can not let my partner drive my car with these on the car, they are noisy as well.

That’s was my thoughts too. Thanks for watching.
Army’s are government agencies and usually purchase the lowest cost bidder so who cares what the government buys !
good to see a comparison between the ko1 and 2 not many people do that.

From what I've been hearing lately the once mighty BFG KO2 is now a low tread life, dangerous in wet, Thailand produced tyre.
What size you running?
Quite a few reviews complaining the KO has the problem of aquaplaning badly on wet paved roads. Is the KO2 having similar problem?
