El triplete. The team showed huge promise. We aren't there yet but we looked like a European team against Mexico. For 70 minutes we looked like being in a different confederation to them.
Failed to recreate that against Jamaica tho ngl but won’t complain 2nd in qualifying and 2026 World Cup champs let’s go !!!!
Ik I was so happy being a US fan since I was 6 now being 26. And it shut up mom side of the family them being Mexican while having my dads side of the family on my side them being from El Salvador it was amazing let's go US 🇺🇸 !!!!!
I wouldn't say all that, we definitely didn't look on the European level. Lol. Mexico has some turmoil going on within their squad right now. That's not to take away from what we've done, beings we've been the better team regardless and I believe we'd still come up with the W if they didn't have problems going on. Mexico actually had a slight better half though; more possession time, shots, etc we were on our own half defending most of that first half. We were relentless and that turned especially that last half of the second.
@@christianmonet1297 eh they had slight better chances but we weren't defending for long stretches of time, it went back and forth. The European comment was more talking about how we looked technical and proactive for once.
Great victories but let me tell you the truth.. the most satisfying thing for us Mexicans is that USMT has never ever and I meen never defeat Mexican National team in official game in Mexican grounds..USMT goes to Mexico🇲🇽 and comes back defeated respecting Mexico on his Country but in the other side Mexico has disrespected USMT in their Country giving them more than 3 humiliations like Gold cup final 2009

Our most wins in a calendar year since 2013. But with a record 3-straight wins over L Tri in important matches with silverware included, this might've been our best year. This game was our best-ever performance vs Mexico.

You only see the final edited versions of these BTCs, but it does seem like Berhalter has the locker room (given all the pressure and questioning of him coming from us outside) and there is great chemistry with this young group, even with the European based players (which was a problem under Klinsmann). Super excited for this world class generation!!!
This is the most important thing. Regardless of how much the outside loves or hates Berhalter the locker seems to love him and fight for him. Which should only lead to good things in the future.
Well the criticism are fair. Tbh winning these clásicos have saved him so much.
If Berhalter brings this team to the World Cup, and gets a rock solid performance out of them there, he will have succeeded in shutting me up. I so badly want this guy to make me eat crow. Because if I have to eat crow, this U.S. team just might go somewhere sooner than 50 years from now.
The second half was the most dominant and impressive half of football in this entire qualifying cycle from any team. So happy for Timmy Weah, he's gonna be huge.
Thing I love about this crowd is that they throw their drinks in the air when we score a goal. Shows how passionate they are!! Stuff you love to see. U.....S.....A!!!!!!!!!

Agreed, they looked flat footed and couldn't match Jamaica's physicality. I'm sure the short turn around from such an intense game vs Mexico and traveling played a huge role. Plus IMO that ref let Jamaica get away with a bunch of card worthy fouls.
The Jamaica game was always going to be a draw..between all the factors mentioned already, plus the let down is natural. We got lucky to grab a point, but I have been watching WCQ since 98 and games like that happen. Didn't look great, but we are almost to Qatar, and that is all that matters!
