Yeah they absolutely gutted her. Now survivors can just crouch drones, disabling drones has no negative consequence and is completely free, and they took her claw trap pallet break.

@@MrVIrginiaLUVto be fair, a lot of survivors have no idea how the scanning system operates, meaning that a lot of people randomly get claw trapped even though they’re not in chase.
@@MCDLXXXVIII_ So none of them have thought about looking up a counter to her? There's literally no excuse at this point. She's been out a while now, there's definitely guides that explain how to counter her.
skull merchant will never be a killer that survivors enjoy. her being granted 4,00 status effects for essentially doing nothing just irritates me. she feels brainless to play as, as well.
i did have a solo queue match where everyone was playing extremely well, even if claw trapped + hindered, and we all got out. it was on an autohaven map as well btw.
I have a 100 winstreak on skull merchant and belive she is within the top 5 most broken killers in the game. There is absolutely no decent counterplay to a skull merchant who brings gen regression + pwyf. It is an uphill battle for survivors even with all of them alive if they even try. If one survivor dies at 1-2 gens left that are unfinished the game is likely entirely over with just gen regression and pwyf. Randoms don't stand a chance against her, the closest I've ever gotten to losing was 4 man swfs and some comp players + super open maps. Skull Merchants in North America server for some reason also love to slug for 4k and are generally disgusting people in the sense of they will literally wait out everyones slug timer or hold the game hostage. I never do that as Skull Merchant, but as survivor all I consistently see from SM players is poor sportsmanship when just trying to play the game and bannable gameplay of genuine hostaging by not even waiting out slug out timer. I've begun to literally dc against Skull Merchant as a player who plays both sides because everytime I genuinely play through a skull merchant match I get held hostage or am slugged on the ground for 4 minutes not as a strat, but for BM. I don't hate the killer as much as I hate the piece of shit players that play her like that.
Most slug because as the video suggests, NOBODY STILL KNOS HOW TO PLAY HER which is insane. Underrated on that fact just like the unknown, alot of their mechanics aren't used to their full effects.
@@nightgodd7865 That is partially true, I know how to go against her, and I know games that could be winnable had my team not have been stupid randoms because I am very experienced with her and understand her counterplay. I would say in a 4 man swf there would be only a few scenarios I would've lost as survivor, most skull merchants play like complete garbage its just people auto dc against her or for some reason show very limited thinking on a character who isn't that complex. I'm sadly turning to auto disconnecting against her not because the player player her is good, but because everyone is a total idiot, rage quits, and for some reason the SM player often hostages games. My biggest reason is hostaging though, I never disconnect in a match because of a killer, thats wrong to do for my teammates. But for Skull Merchant in NA with the dozens of games I went against her, about 60-70 percent of the time they are actively bming and wasting peoples time. Slugging for the 4k isnt the issue, slugging for the 4k and letting all bleedout, while actively taunting and then picking up 2 survivors to hostage them for who knows how long is why I'm done playing against her even if I don't really mind facing her from a non toxic pov. Also I never bm, t-bag or anything, the toxicity I get from SM is totally uncalled for. I just play the game to win.
it seems as if winning in solo queue against her gets much harder when there is 1-2 gens remaining. if a SM doesn’t have a kill by then, it’ll be harder for them, but if they have one kill on the board, have fun getting those gens done.
@@MCDLXXXVIII_ The game is unwinnable or close to unwinnable if she has 1 kill before exit gates with 1-2 gens left. What causes skull merchant to get faster?
Survivors getting claw trapped/becoming trackable by one of her drones
