Probably the best blade shape I’ve personally seen in a long time. I think the handle scales could have been shaped more personally but I see your reasoning behind not. Beautiful work Mr Skelton
Your right, you shouldn't have shared it because it gave me another beautiful knife that I'll never be able to have...Don't stop, keep them coming. A beautiful knife
Stunning. Absolutely beautiful man. I’d yet to see one of your pieces. I’m very impressed. You have some skills. The recurve tango harpoon blade is perfection.
personally i feel that you should have done a counter sink for the attachment holes, they look kinda rough to me, and the handle could have been contoured little more to make the knife look more sleek and sexy. that being said i love the design lines and the materials used for the knife. btw does it come with a sheathe?
It’s ok to be a little self serving sometimes Jim, you sure have earned the right to do so. Loving the blade. Some constructive criticism... if you want it: 1. I think it would really add to the look if you could make the hardware flush with the handles 2. The handles look kind of blocky. I know sometimes it feels really nice in hand, but it would look awesome if you could give it some more curves. An asymmetrical shape would be supercool, even though it may restrict ambidextrous functionality. Anyways, keep up the great work and can’t wait to see your flippers!
That's gorgeous... Only thing I would have done (had I had the good idea to make a knife like that in the first place with those materials) would be to counter sink the two large diameter pins in the handle and then connect them with a groove (of the same diameter as the hole) that gets more shallow (in the z-axis) the closer to the center of the handle (or the center of the groove) -- so that the middle of the groove is the highest point along that line (but not tangent to the handle. That would add a bit of visual interest to the handle, connect the two points of interest and add a bit of continuity to the overall look. That being said, that material on the handle is INCREDIBLE and the Damascus is absolutely stunning... I love how it looks like two small stars just below your initials. Great job, Jim!
That handle material is pretty incredible... Ergos seem off to me, looks like even for your own hand your middle finger lands on the spike of the choil. Nice work overall!
You prob won’t see this since I’m really late lol but great work I really am in love with that blade shape it’s very we nice I’d like one at about 6 inches long
Dang Jim that knife is fucking beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great great job. If people talk shit about this knife, then they prob never loved there mama neither!!!!!!!!!
"Bifrost" .. such a perfect name. Or you could call it "Rainbow Road" like in Mario Kart lol 😉. I gotta ask, are you free-handing those grinds? Great job regardless, turned out beautifully. I'm also curious as to how you personally have been sharpening your knives. Are you doing these on the grinder with narrow stripped belts or on a sharpening system or some sort? I only ask due to how clean your edge is and I've been wondering how other guys are doing their recurves. Thanks

Yeah...no countersink honestly looks bad. Maybe he has a reason for not doing it.
DavidMN reason is he doesn’t know how to do it .. look at this pile of shit. I wouldn’t take this as a gift. His poor poor customers

Very awesome knife, Jim!
Love the lines and shaping
I'm dying to get a hold of one of your knives. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to do some more saving. Keep up the magnificent work Mr. Skelton.
Very cool knife! The blade shape looks reminiscent of Hossom knives.
Your photography is always just amazing. I'm in no way a professional or know anything about it other then just looking but dang Jim your good.
Good lord. It has bling within bling upon bling!
Very impressive Jim, I can't wait to see that one at Blade!
Those scales are making me want to nail a few shrooms . Extra trippy lights show.
Damn. Bad ass isn't even gonna cut it .
Jim, that's a beautiful knife. I hope that I can make it to blade show to see all your work and to say hey.
Who would have thought Jim Skelton would end up making knives as nice as the customs he reviews.
Any chance you will start making folders?
Nicely done! 👍
Almost like black opal. Pretty cool.
Absolutely beautiful
Green maple burl was looking good
Is there any way you could point me in the direction to get the material you used for the grip
he mentioned it's from "Workerman" and it's called "laser whiskers," you can find with google search
