I’m using politer clay and my fingers HURT after mixing 😂😂😂 I do not recommend using it for these crafts 😂😂

oh no! Try using air dry clay. The brand Fimo Air Light is very easy to use and can be microwaved (for super fast setting time) without clay shrinkage.
