    You have an awesome dollhouse. I love it.

    I also love building things and have a dollhouse based on cubicle units I assembled.
    One thing I learned is that it is a lot easier to apply contact paper or any covering for the walls and floors before it assembled. It allows each piece to remain flat and avoids the corner problems. I also do each wall separately and don’t continue to use the same sheet around corners.

      It would have been so much easier doing it ahead of time, but I am so slow in making decisions, I didn’t want to delay it for another year or two while I decided on flooring and walls 😅

    I liked this video and I’m happy to see you just diving in and sharing your doll world with us. I like the wallpaper print and didn’t notice air bubbles and think you did a good job. Yes, it is difficult to work with contact paper. I typically have better success with scrapbook paper. 😊

      @@AGTV4Life I think that’s what I’m going to stick with in the future! I have a couple more rolls of different colors of peel and stick, but idk if it’s worth the hassle 😅

    Great dollhouse 👍! Yes would love to see a complete tour 😎 I love watching these types of vids even though I no longer collect AG dolls 🤓 It definitely reminds me of the days when my daughter was little & I was always adding to her AG collection 😊 It was fun seeing your baby girl playing with the lights & soon she'll be helping you organize the house 😃

    Ugh, contact paper as wallpaper - I remember doing that. It ended up looking really good in some rooms, but that doesn't mean it was fun!! If you like any of the designs on the peel and stick *sheets* (not rolls) at the Dollar Tree, I found them easier to work with. And yeah, metal thumbtacks will hold that locker chandelier up beautifully. It's looking good!

      I’ll have to try that! The sheets and the thumb tacks. Appreciate the tips!! ❤️

    The video looks good. I’ve not tried contact paper in the dollhouse. I have enough trouble getting it to look good on the floor, let alone on a wall!
    I painted my kitchen, but because if the coating on the PAX wardrobes, it keeps wanting to peel off (I should have sanded it first). I papered Felicity’s room in scrapbook paper that I hung with spray on adhesive.
    The best and my favorite way is to cut cardboard to the room dimensions (actually just a hair bigger). Then I paper or paint it outside if the dollhouse and then just put the wall into place. The cardboard being just a hair too big helps hold it in.
    Can’t wait to see more of your dollhouse journey.

      @@melangellperry5984 ohh I like that idea of using cardboard! Seems like it would be much easier to change out also. I’ll have to try that!

      I use cardboard, too. I don't take the backing off the contact paper, I tape it as to the cardboard. So much easier. I also use Wrapping paper for walls with the cardboard. Just wrap the cardboard as you'd wrap a present

    The dollhouse is looking great! I put up contact paper in two of my dollhouse rooms, and it is definitely tricky. The nice thing is that those bubbles and wrinkles aren't terribly obvious in photos and such- if someone is really looking, sure, but generally you can't tell. I liked your wallpaper choice!

    • @ag.bethany
      @ag.bethany  4 месяца назад

      Yes that’s what I was hoping too! It’s good enough for now, and maybe someday I’ll replace it. But I love the wallpaper itself! Thanks!

    • @ag.bethany
      @ag.bethany  3 месяца назад +2

      I don’t think they sell the exact one anymore, but it’s the pax wardrobe and they just renamed it or something. The dimensions are 29.5x22x92. Hopefully that’s helpful! It’s been great for me.
