  • Chaos Pattern Wenge and Maple climbing holds hand made in a small workshop in North Wales.
Inspired by the chopping board industry I decided to make a chaos end-grain board and then chop the chopping board up to make a set of mirrored climbing holds.

Taylormade thanks so much for the video, was great to see your process for making these beautiful holds - wow!
If I might mention one thing, across a couple of places in your video the gain on your vocals for super high relative to other places and it was uncomfortable to listen to, most of the time the audio was great, but yeah in a few places it was just so much louder than at other times and it felt like it is distorting your voice a bit.

Yeah I imagine the costly part of making these is the amount of consumables you'd go through (including thicknesser and bandsaw blades), especially if your setup is focussed around working timbers of soft-medium hardness. I wonder if a focussed v-hard setup would be closer to a machining setup? Sintered blades, cnc, diamond disks instead of sandpaper heh. Maybe danish oil as the cutting fluid 😂
