    It was my first year trying milk jug winter sowing too. It worked really well overall. I'm in 6b. I felt it was fairly easy and love seeing everything growing now and blooming. 😊

    Oh wow… I wonder if it is too late to do some of this in Ohio hardiness zone 5b - it’s the end of February ❤. Thank you for sharing this!

    When did you plant them. How many months did it take totally

      I generally put my jugs out in mid to late February, I’ve even put jugs out in March. Technically the seed packet tells you when to start. It will say “sow 4-6 weeks before frost” and then you count back that amount of weeks from your last frost date
      Sounds confusing I know. I don’t think it a big deal if you are off by a couple weeks, Mother Nature will take care of them. I hope that helps

    What month should I sow my zinnia, cosmos, and morning glory seeds zone 5?

    • @NinoandLo
      @NinoandLo  9 месяцев назад

      In my experience I would definitely wait till after the last frost date because each of those plants won’t do well if they get blasted with that late Spring frost that we get in zone 5 sometimes….I sow mine well after May 24th
