For all the working academics out there, I would love a video on how you balance or your mindset on working while in school. I work and it’s hard to wrap my head around should I be task-oriented or time-oriented (I.e., dedicating a full 40 hours to my PhD on top of work). Any guidance would be GREATLY appreciated!
As someone who did her phd while working on museums and teaching at my uni, i'd recommend to try to time block your week. I had two full days i dedicated to my phd thesis, two days at my uni, and one day and a half in the museum.
I'm new here! But I'm already loooving your content! I only have an associate degree (here in Brazil), but soon enough I'll start my bachelor :) And I love creators who inspire me to study more

I am entering the thesis phase of my Master's and I've been simultaneously wrapping up my last few classes and doing Ph.D. applications right now on top of working and it's just been A LOT! Having some idea of what other busy academics are doing is so helpful. Also, you seem soooo happy with London Boy! That smile while you were talking to him is so genuine!
Yayy I wake up at 7 am too Then I listen to my fav piece and check my emails msgs and calendar takes me 15 mins and wake me up Then I get fresh and do my barre workout for about 30 mins. After that I take a shower takes me 30 mins get ready do my makeup skincare my hair all in 15 mins Then i cook make my breakfast in about 15 mins. Then I eat and plan for the day. By 9.15-9.30 I start my work. But recently I have been having depressive phases and I have been waking up at 8. I haven't worked out for 3 days. Ugh.
Thank you so much for this video! Also, as someone whose college boyfriend moved away, knowing that you are also in a long distance relationship really helped me with my anxiety surrounding dating while in grad school. ☺
one of the reasons i love your videos is your tutorials. specifically with reading. you have such an incredible collection of books and have helped me appreciate my own nonfiction ventures in a new light)) you have a very good eye for planning and organization)
I was thinking a lot about how to make difficult routines more easy in the last time, this video made me even more concious of that. But I also thought, maybe some fricition is actually benefical, to teach oneself more resilience and dedication? Maybe, I don't know yet. Probably depends also situation.
I have not been able to watch your videos lately due to a busy schedule so I caught up with this one, and your happiness with your boyfriend is my favorite thing. Seeing you so happy just radiates through the screen.
My mom taught us to keep a glass of water on our night stand and drink it first thing in the morning. I do that now even with my own children. On days that I forget, which happens, I can feel a difference. Thank you for sharing your morning routine.

Sometimes I wonder if you have any contacts with other grad students from your research lab. Your work setting looks amazing (I’m so jealous of your apartment, it is the cosiest environment ever) but really outside from the rest of the campus
I honestly don’t have much community at Yale and only meet with my advisor when I need support/guidance but I’m ok with that because I’ve built community elsewhere (especially with Accepted society)
