    when you stated the rules, the challenge didn't even sound appealing since it sounded really restrictive (no "cheat meals" 🙄, no alcohol...) but you still managed to make such a hilarious video out of it. thank you so muuuuch.

    • @Hippiepoper
      @Hippiepoper 2 года назад +374

      @Katie Leigh wouldn't it be better to just introduce all that slowly into your life and making it sustainable instead of doing it for 75 days only? What's the point on avoiding all of it if later, you'll binge on it.

    • @Minivaaaaal
      @Minivaaaaal 2 года назад +84

      @@Hippiepoper The point is kinda that after you finish it, you don't fall back into your old pattern. It has a couple extending challenges to keep you going :)

      Thats bcs its not your Kind of diet when you have to Plan a cheat meal in the first place try to eat everything in a Balance and you wont have to feel like cheating
      And about the rest of the rules its quite normal to go for45 to 60 min into the gym and later go on a walk as somw sort of cardio but if walking isnt your Kind of jam you just do smth else
      And pls dont say its not realistic to workout 5 to 6 days a week and cardio it actually is just make it one of your priorities
      I work as well go to the gym before work and use my 30 min break to go for a walk so yeah ;)

      @Katie Leigh no it won't lmao if you imediately fall back into your old habits, it needs to be sustainable first and foremost, this challenge is the farthest thing away from sustainable

    After failing this challenge several times and my biggest accomplishment being reaching day 32 I decided this is not for me. Instead of getting my life together I was going back to hating my body and I found myself falling into my ED mindset that caused me a lot of issues mentally and physically.
    I decided to make my own challenge inspired by this one and named it “75 wellness challenge”. My rules changed as well, instead of 2 workouts per day with no rest day I decided to to 30-40 of movement (hiking, cardio, weights anything counts.) of exercise 6 days a week and have 1 active rest day. I ditched the diet mindset but decided to only eat homecooked meals (i eat out too much.) and not cut down on my processed sugar and carbs consumption. I’m not taking any pictures, I’m not doing this for weight loss. I am reading 10 pages and I added 5-10 minutes of being thankful for what happened or didn’t happen during the day. This works for me a lot more.

    I stopped at day 50 last year b/c I was experiencing symptoms of overtraining 🙃 While I do think 75 Hard is a great motivational springboard, it's simply not suited to everyone and the fact that you can't make any modifications is just stupid. I'm actually planning to do my own version of 75 Hard in May but with my own rules (e.g., meditate for at least 3 minutes, in bed by 10:30, etc.). I'm still setting 5 goals in total, but they're less physically demanding and more geared toward wellness! I think it'll be much more sustainable and healing 🥰

    I love your channel so much! This is definitely a mental toughness program! I have completed it twice, and my boyfriend is currently on day 42. For my 2 workouts, sometimes I would walk for both, or yoga and a walk. Those were my gentle "rest days". The progress photos are more for the discipline aspect of it, not forgetting the little tasks because it is absolutely the easiest to miss! Plus it does help you see how your body changes every single day over the course of 75 days, and helps you normalize that your body will fluctuate. 💜 I found that doing this has completely changed and transformed my life. I have more discipline at my job as well as realizing how much time I truly do have in a day. We have way more time than we think,. I have a very demanding job and I also have a horse that I compete on, plus a dog and two cats lol making time to prioritize things that really are good for us, truly helped me see how much time I had for other things. Not everyone will want to do it, or will be able to complete it and that's okay! Everyone is different! I can just attest to the wonderful changes it is made in my life. Thank you for sharing your journey through this program. 💜

    Just wanted to say: I just found your channel and it has been SO refreshing to see your actual feelings about your workouts and such. I feel like so many people who are on youtube making exercise and health content aren't willing to be honest about how hard it can be to stay motivated or get through a tough workout. I have always felt so bad about myself when I can't maintain any sort of motivation for more than a few days and your videos show that it's okay to not feel like wanting to do a workout or eat a healthy meal, and that "step-backs" aren't actually anything to worry about if you don't let them be. I just subscribed and I look forward to more videos from you :)

    I’m coming out of a 4 month depressive period where I laid in bed almost 24/7. I tried exercising today and I couldn’t even do a 20 minute workout and I’m feeling super discouraged. I feel so weak and tired constantly, advice for finding motivation is appreciated. I want to try but I feel like my disappointment in myself is making me more upset lol

      Small steps are still steps forward! Going from being sedentary almost 24/7 to trying a 20 minute workout is an amazing accomplishment. Even finding the motivation to get up and do something is a step forward.

      Starting small is always good, like going for a walk and reading for a bit. Even just going outside for a few minutes and appreciating small things around you that make you happy, like feeling the sun on your skin for example, that always makes me feel happy. If you feel weak you can start with short workouts, like 5 min cardio or 5 min abs or yoga, something you like and as your body gets used to it, start doing longer ones. And know that you're allowed to rest, sometimes you need to push yourself and do it, sometimes you're just tired and need some time out. Slow and steady wins the race, don't give up!

    I also have PCOS and admittedly I love my carbs more than I should, especially working nights I tend to grab carby meals before work to fuel me. I'm definitely going to check out the podcast you recommended! :) I also tried 75 Hard once, but I did not complete it as outdoor exercise became difficult once it got darker earlier as I no longer felt safe going out in the dark after lectures to workout. I'd rather do a workout challenge that feels achievable and also safe

    Hi Susie, just wanted to say thank you for being such a good influencer to me, I just started watching some of your videos but I am already a big fan and will keep watching more and more of your videos. I like how honest, raw, natural your videos are, and how I really relate to all of your content. What I love the most is your honesty, not hiding or pretending to be someone else, your confidence, your self love and your postivity, the way you see life. I am a girl struggling to lose weight for many years, and my confidence comes from my looks, it cant be helped, but I havent seen any results for a long time, idk what im doing wrong. If you hated the 75 hard challenge, there’s lighter versions. Like the 75 soft challenge where you workout for 45 minutes once a day, eat well but you are able to cheat meals, drink alcohol on social occasions and drink between 2-3 litres a day. I find this so much easier with my work and study schedule xx

    As someone who has completed the 75 hard, I totally get that it’s not for everyone. I am highly competitive so I think if anything I finished it out of spite lol.
    For me it was the perfect kick start to start working out regularly and eating well, from not working out at all before.
    It really changed my habits in a lasting way. Even after the challenge I still work out 5-6 days a week, drink around a half gallon of water a day and make time for reading.
    One thing I noticed is that I didn’t lose a single pound, but instead lost fat and gained muscle, so getting over the non changes in the scale was difficult for me. That’s when the progress pics really helped when I looked at my day 1 vs day 75.
    However I don’t think I would have finished the 75 days if I hadn’t chose to read “Atomic Habits” by James Clear as my first book during the challenge. That book gave me such good tips on how to make habits and create a new lifestyle for myself and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to go through a lifestyle change.
