Tony needs to offer Dutch Mantell and Jim a ridiculous amount of money to fix his promotion. That is probably the only way Jim will help lol. Nice 7 figure payoff for them both and they could fix it.
AEW = Attitude Era Wrestling. They deserve their 300,000 weekly viewers. That's all the people left from that Era. And every year, that number will keep dwindling, and lowering, as more and more senior citizens die. There is no reason to tune back in, there is nothing to look forward to in AEW. It sucks. And now they have Ric Flair, Big Show and Edge, the combined ages of all 3 gotta be near 200. I swear, it's like they want to lose. They use the same 10 guys over and over and over, with no variation, no progression, no development. Compare a show from Feb 2023 to Nov 2023 and you'll see the same cast of characters in the same roles at the same level on the card, doing the same things week after week after week. I am not going to watch AEW when, for example, by July 2024, the same 7 guys are all doing the same things they've done in Nov 2023, and Feb 2023. This really has become garbage wrestling, period. Sports based presentation, my ass. They flat out lied to everyone. Fuck aew.
I think you’ve got your ages and eras mixed up. Most Attitude era viewers were somewhere around early teens to early 30s as it was being broadcast. That puts them somewhere around late 30s to late 50s. Not exactly a demographic that’s dying out. AEW doesn’t deserve to have its name even associated with the Attitude Era because for all its flaws and drawbacks, during its time it was captivating, must watch TV. Most attitude era viewers I know are definitely alive, but just want nothing to do with AEW or wrestling in general today because the on-screen characters aren’t interesting and they try and downplay the conflict in favor of dramatic bullshit. I want to see what Stone Cold is going to do to Vince this week, not whether the Bucks and Twinkletoes are still friends or whatever.
@@zlinedavid It's 2023, not 1998 anymore. I am not getting anything mixed up. They deserve their 300,000 viewers because that's all there is left. I think you inadvertently proved my point. You just said most of the Attitude Era Wrestling fans don't watch AEW. That's right, most don't. The 300,000 viewers are the ones, left over. The numbers aren't going up, because THE SAME TOTAL AMOUNT OF PEOPLE ARE WATCHING. And, like I said, that number will slowly decrease, as time goes on, as the death rate increases. Do you understand now what I mean? Their 300,000 viewers are not NEW PEOPLE, because NEW PEOPLE would tell others, they would INCREASE viewership over time. Listen to Jim and Brian's ratings reviews. Pick a random video from 2023, 2022, 2021, and write down the numbers, and you'll see what I'm talking about. AEW =Attitude Era Wrestling, not for just quality or content, but dying audience members. It will be 300,000, then 290,000 then 270,000, then 250,000 because old people are the only ones watching this crap. Sting, Ric Flair, Big Show, Edge. Anyone born after 2010 would have absolutely NO IDEA who these guys were. People born in 1960 would be all over this shit. Think about it. How old is, Dave Meltzer, for example? 64 fucking years old. Is it a coincidence he's now a SENIOR CITIZEN? NO. There is a huge generational age gap between who AEW THINKS is watching these shows, compared to who is ACTUALLY watching these shows. The numbers and rating trends, to me, indicate only one conclusion: the AEW audience consists of the leftover fans of 1997-2003 WWF. There are only so many of them left alive, and they are not telling other people to watch, tune in, check it out. They are keeping to themselves as they slowly die out year after year, which explains why the rating numbers hover and stay where they are, and only go down slightly year after year.
I'll say this as simply as I can. My son really, really enjoyed Mania 40. My young son. He understood the buildup and characters and didn't have to ask many questions in the build, show or payoff. We tuned in for a few minutes this past Wednesday on Dynamite and we were both so lost. Endless questions from his young mind. Why is that guy talking? Why are they using weapons? Why aren't they counting? All of the basic wrestling psychology that me and WWE programming taught him in a matter of a couple weeks is undone with a single visit to AEW on Wednesdays. You can't make new wrestling fans by putting out this confusing, dumb ass violent product.
So if you nuke someone's back and shoulders on what is supposed to be concrete block, they can just get up?! Well hell - I didn't know that, lol! I know someone that sheered off part of the ball of his hip joint falling a few feet onto a steel bucket once in an industrial accident - he couldn't walk for 7 years without fucking agony until he managed to get an operation. Still, I suppose piledriving someone on a chair wrapped in barbed wire is breakfast for Tony's crew, huh? Its a cartoon for the little ones at this point, surely?
If I ever see a staple-gun, duct tape, barb wire, cinder blocks, broken glass, thumb tacks, tables, or chairs in a wrestling match it will be too freaking soon. Tony needs to offer Dutch Mantell and Jim a ridiculous amount of money to fix his promotion. That is probably the only way Jim will help lol. Nice 7 figure payoff for them both and they could fix it.
This Swerve has Gotten bigger since his killshot days in Lucha Underground
Hopped on the gas looks good for it
Brain needs chainsaw charlie for his weeds 😂
Skye Blue vs Anna Jay for the Best Behind Title.
Toni storm wins hands down
I’d watch that.

@@sarkissamuel I was mostly just saying the Attitude era fans aren’t dying, they’re simply just not watching.

You know Dynamite gets over 800,000 I know where you are going but let's be truthful here
Wait! Adam Cole would get injured while dancing like Prince Nana! Msybe he should just commentate!
Barbed Wire or Razor Wire. That's a situation where I'd rather not have the physique of Brian Cage.
AEW is now just an outlaw mud show that made it to tv
So if you nuke someone's back and shoulders on what is supposed to be concrete block, they can just get up?! Well hell - I didn't know that, lol! I know someone that sheered off part of the ball of his hip joint falling a few feet onto a steel bucket once in an industrial accident - he couldn't walk for 7 years without fucking agony until he managed to get an operation. Still, I suppose piledriving someone on a chair wrapped in barbed wire is breakfast for Tony's crew, huh? Its a cartoon for the little ones at this point, surely?
Has AEW ever put on a submission match?
If I ever see a staple-gun, duct tape, barb wire, cinder blocks, broken glass, thumb tacks, tables, or chairs in a wrestling match it will be too freaking soon. Last because of Hangnail Page and Swerve match I don’t really ever one to see color in a wrestling match again. Before this match I just never wanted to Plumber Moxley get color now it’s everyone. Thanks a lot Tony for a real shit show of a wrestling match
No, in the Attitude Era they taken seriously the business.
Psychedelic cow? LOL
Notmihing like a good ol' Corny burial. At thos point iife I give a standing ovation when the burials are complete. Its even better lookin at the clips on twitter or RUclips for context while listening to corny destroy the segments
The GOOD NEWS is that NWA hired Allie Recks! She's the coolest.

Toni Storms gimmick has become to cringy and overdone now sadly. Timeless Toni Storm has really jumped the shark.
I am not gonna complain when wrestler Barbie is on screen.
it is an all time classic of how NOT to have a death match.
So corny ain’t gonna talk about how absolutely cringey MJF was during that media scrum? With the crying and say I love wrestling. OMG…it was embarrassing. And I know the crying was fake…but just why?
He didn't watch it apparently

The Padres were disappointing last year but he asked for the worst teams in the league and they were far from that.
Why was Adam Cole even on the PPV? He did play the pitiful old man very well. They should have gotten him a "Life-alert" incase he fell down & a "Rascal" so he can have mobility. :)
Never thought I would hear Sham 69 get mentioned on this podcast, such a great band 👍
Jim tells these guys why what they did was stupid and tells them how they can fix it. The problem is it that it falls on deaf ears

These shows are too long , these matches are un-watchable. 1-2- kick out every big spot, no, I don’t want to see this anymore.
Animals going to be Bald by the time he's 40 Baker's going to leave him for a dentist 🦷
Animal? The muppet?
The less u do, the better a match may look. AEW is doing too much so majority of their matches look so phony.
Nana is 44
AEW fans have no idea about what wrestling is, and don't know the history of wrestling. Horrible storylines, lazy booking, no idea what rules apply to matches, just unwatchable garbage.
I'll tell U the history, WWE gave us 20 years of rubbish. They only kicked it up a notch when there was competition. I'd rather watch aew than a company that pulls people's strings like puppets.
@@WaTiFsYou mean like how the Bucks and Jericho are constantly pulling Tony’s strings?
@@WaTiFsAt least WWE has more eyes to see the puppet strings being pulled than the non existant AEW fans who can barely fill a 4000 sold arena/gymnasium
I’ve thought about this before. I think a good number of them haven’t watched any wrestling from any past era, or they would know what they’re watching isn’t pro wrestling. There are still a few guys there who know how to present pro wrestling, but they’re mostly passed over for new Japan dream matches.
@@BB-ed4om Agreed - I was lucky to be born in the best era, to be able to see late 70's and early 80's wrestling- plus I had cable so I got to see AWA, Mid South, Florida, Portland etc - I feel bad for the guys who only know about the Attitude Era and WCW and TNA
This company and its mark fans gotta be the worst thing in wrestling in history
Anyone watch clash of champions 1 lately? First 3 matches just one big forgein object choking, raking, blasting, gouging one another. If aew wrestlers emulated clash move for move Cornette would snap lol.
