I think out of all the actors, Dom as Jace is the best fit. The other actors do a great job, too, but I think that Dom really captures Jace's character.
First, when I found out about the tv series and a new actor that was going to play Jace( after seeing the movie and totally loving it) I was like : nope, I'm sticking with the Jace from the movie.. nobody will be as best as him, but noooow... God I love Dom as Jace 😍 He's perfect
Jace isn't American, but he has most likely has an american accent. He is in the same circumstances as Will, who is welsh, but moved to London when he was 12 and developed an english accent. Jace is never mentioned to have an accent, which is pointed out in cassie's books if its significant. Sadly, Jace was not mentioned to have any irregular speak habits, making it safe to say he does, indeed, have an american accent. I wouldn't mind Dom's accent, but it's too far along to change it now. I was still on the fence but I just watched a sneak from ep 6 and now he is totally jace in my mind. Was never a fan of Jamie, but holy crap from what it looks like from the sneak, Dom is killing it!
I completely agree. I wish he'd be able to use his natural accent for Jace. I loves Jamie Campbell Bower as Jace and I think I'd like Dominic Sherwood more as Jace if he was able to use his accent too.

Well actually I only fell in love with these characters. The movie sucked so I only loved the book. But the series is great! Really good show and I'm obsessed!
Dom is a good Jace, the runs could be better and I think if the show gets picked up it only will get better at least that is what I imagine. I feel they are just testing the waters. It has so much potential cause I really do like the cast......most of them :D

Haha no one fell in love with the characters in the movie! I think most TMI fans can agree that it wasn't a good adaptation. The show is definitely a lot better. Season 1 wasn't that nice but season 2 is nice, it's getting better and better;)
I'm so glad that some people out there are defending the actors, honestly for this sort of role it is very difficult to get wrong, its never the actors fault a show sucks. It's the direction or script they are given. Honestly, you would be surprised how sometimes, you don't notice 'bad acting' because having a good script changes everything. These actors having a bad script just makes there acting awkward and obvious which is why you notice it so much. It's not that they are bad. what you notice is them trying to make it good. I'm english (so some americans may disagree) but from what I can tell Dom's accent is pretty damn good, near flawless i would think, so how can you call him a bad actor. Kat, on the other hand, I've seen her in numerous things and she's been the same, in some parts a bit wooden, but you can't really blame her either.
Wow reading these comments, some are so vicious. Yes the books are completely amazing! Have they followed it to the letter, no! But is it still great on its own? Yeah I think so. They have made Izzy and clary closer quicker. Hello joycelyn!? That was unexpected and I hoped it wasn't true! And I would just like to mention for all the Malec shippers, *raises both hands* if it wasn't different from the books, we wouldn't see a great deal of their relationship!! Also leave the books as the books, and enjoy what the show has to offer.. The books have Jaces spaghetti bath, the show (and the movie) didn't. That's my favourite part if the books, how much he opens up and shares with clary. But I'm not going to sit here and bag out the show, because I like not knowing 100% what's coming next..
