I am designing my flat in rajasthani ethnic style, and the same challenge that you faced of not using a false ceiling, even we are facing that now. We want to hand paint the borders and the area used by fan and not use false ceiling but we are not able to add any lights. We will soon finalise a design.
Could you please share a clearer picture of the paint design done on the staircase wall, and the painting on the border of the ceiling.
