I am alive because I read How Not To DIe. After surviving 2 carotid artery dissections 20 years ago, living with Lupus and RA, I decided to change the one thing I could, my diet. Vegetarian for 17 years and plant based for last 7 years. Thank you Dr. Greger
If you still have the lupus and RA you might want to watch Dr brooke goldner and her wellness wednesday episodes. She healed her own lupus many years ago with her raw vegan diet that she gives the information for free.
Watched this while chomping on lentil and sweet potato curry. Very appreciative of Dr. Greger's work.
greek yogurt, nuts and seeds milled and blackberries for me
I am munching on parmesan cheese with salami, and drinking some milk.
I'm about to grab a big bowl of berries, yes I'm outside the time restricted, but I have late night work
You’re very appreciative of being conned by this liar.
Why, what do trolls eat? @@jmt__
This dr saved my Life
Thank you Dr Geeger
Im 7 yrs Vegan and have cleared arteries
Please accept my deepest respect 🌱💯
This is awesome!!!
Well done, no turning back now.
Do you take supplements as part of your vegan diet? Do you take any kind of medicine?
@@aquariuscomfortI'm not an any prescriptions, I do take a few supplements.
My brother-in-law had the shock of his life when he found out he had advanced cardiovascular disease, his arteries not just choked with fatty deposits but calcified. He thought he was healthy. But decades of restaurant and take-out 'food' took its toll. To his credit, he's completely changed his lifestyle, learned how to cook, eats a predominantly plant-based diet now with only the occasional bit of fish or meat and goes for long power walks. Within just a month his alarming triglycerides and LDL numbers returned to the high end of normal. He's determined to get his health back. I've forwarded numerous Dr. Gregor and Dr. Carvalho videos to him.
I love Dr Gregor . I have been vegan since 2009 .
Hey! Me too! 🌱👍
Have you been a vegan without supplements?
@@aquariuscomfort No. B12 is the one supplement we need due to the fact that it comes from the soil and overuse of farmland tends to deplete the supply. If I take any others it's because I'm not eating properly by choice.
He is Truth & Power!
He gets so excited about fruit and veg it's so inspiring. ❤️
I’m going on nine years vegan 🥑 and clean and sober 30 years
Full props dude, never look back! 💪🏼👍🏼
@@IceBoNeZ thank you 🙏
@@ronperry7313 excellent
Cool. I found veganism after a dark journey doing drugs. I'm now 6 years vegan and sober ❤❤❤
@@beanburrito8903 awesome 😎 good for you
*Me* “I’ve been following Dr Greger for the past 7 years there is no way I could love him even more-“
*Dr Greger* “Noam Chomsky!”
When you idol idolizes your other idol 😩🙏
I think your other idol do not idolize your idol. that says a lot. you should follow other idol.
@@v.a.n.e. What? Are you drunk?
Strawberries really need to be organic! I agree many things probably don't need to be but strawberries definitely need to be.
I believe the same thing for blueberries and blackberries. I also think Consumer Reports did a piece of them as part of being highly exposed to pesticides.
DrGregor, you are MY HERO 🫶💚💚💚🫶
This was so great. Efficient (packed with his opinions) but also good-natured. Wonderful!
Also a great checklist for optimum eating,
Unfortunately the questioner's accent made it hard to understand.
@dalydegagne1839 yes. Because English is very hard to understand, lol
How many lives must this guy have saved. I've got all his books and they're all brilliant.
You mean how many lives has this con artist ruined.
Explain yourself. @@jmt__
@@jmt__oh you troll
Im a soy boy for years. I do MMA and Jiu Jitsu yet I am a “Soy Boy”. So when I tell people that I am a plant based combat athlete, they always ask “where’s your Protein? Don’t you get weak?” Then I show them my martial art fights and my weightlifting videos. Then I show them my plate full of high protein grain, legumes, and soy products (milk, edamame, miso, soy sauce, etc) and greens. All the protein I ever need. To work a 9-5 job and to train hard in m martial arts pursuit.
where’s your protein? don’t you get weak?
It's funny Joe Rogan was talking about this the other day. And every vegan vegetarian fighter he knows ends up going back to eating meat.
And he knows the sport better than anyone.. except for maybe John jones
@@v.a.n.e. lol
@@JohnJohn-xb1sn what jre episode was it? i' d like to check it out.. well sometimes i'll eat meat, like once or 3 times a month. Usually for special occasions. Most of the time I am plant based. :)
Honestly he has lalked about it numerous times on many but I'm sure if you search on RUclips
Joe rogan carnivore or Joe rogan vegan you'll find tons of it.. trust me if I thought vegan or vegetarian was the best diet I would be on it but live in the country and seeing how nature works. If it wasn't for humans eating meat as a large portion of our diet we wouldn't be here today
Dr. Greger is one of my role models as a future physician, it's always great to learn from him! Also, it's unfortunate how the term "soy boy" has gained traction, and is the result of one of the biggest misconceptions in health. Most people don't realize how beneficial soy products are, like soy beans/tofu/edamame, etc. Most also don't know that the real issue with estrogen, comes from animal estrogen they consume from animal products. The phytoestrogens in soy are actually cancer protective, in part bc they activate beta receptors rather than alpha receptors that animal estrogen activates, leading to higher cancer risk- especially breast/uterine/ovarian/prostate cancers!
Something else they don't know is that the dairy industry started spreading misinformation about soy when they saw their sales declining because of the popularity of soy milk.

GREAT video - i met dr gregor in philly at a vegan cafe. i was star struck - he was exactly as you see him here :)
Love that he said to eat a lot of fruit because I have heard others say to limit the fruit. Fruit happens to be my favorite thing to have every day.
LOVED this video! Such a fun atmosphere, yet very informative. Love the vibe with these two amazing vegans! :)
I’d rather be a ‘Soy Boy’ than a ‘Dairy Fairy’.
WTF?
@@cosudu3002 I know what LOL means, but what does LOLOL mean? “Laughing out loud out loud”? WTF?
Do you think that’s cool to post a homophobic pejorative? How does that work?
shut up@@aquariuscomfort
Sorry to break it to you, but 'soy boy', while clearly a pejorative, is not aimed at gay men. It's aimed at urban men who are seen by many as fragile, somewhat feminized, lacking resourcefulness in difficult times. We in the country see most city men this way, fairly or not. By the way, I'm a big fan of soy and gave up all dairy last year. @@aquariuscomfort
I love my oat groats too! But to eat breakfast like a king and dinner like a pauper I moved my oat groats to the dinner slot and now I have lentils and broccoli for breakfast most mornings lately. Moving the oat groats to the evening is like a nice treat to finish the day off too because I make mine so sweet and delicious with dates and cocoa powder, Ceylon cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, and fresh ground clue, blueberries and maybe a think or two more. And I bought a grain mill so I can make my oat groats more like steel cut and cook them quicker but I can also throw in some kamut, faro, Bulger, etc and they'll all be uniform size for even cooking time :-)
Chopped up oat groats are no longer groats
Please post your recipe! New to groats. Bought them and they are staring at me saying:Now Is The Time
I'll have to watch this multiple times to absorb all this mega info!!! 😁😁😁😁😁😁
Great that you mentioned Noam Chomsky.
This was so enjoyable thank you both!
My boy Noam needs to go whole food plant based as soon as possible. 🙏🏻
6:00 Noam Chomsky, nice choice, I first learned about him from left-wing political circles I was in around the time of the 2008 financial crisis but then his work on language came up in my computer science degree, he's a really interesting individual
I remember him from the anti- Vietnam War days when he was teaching linguistics.
Soy boy❤ Dr Greger is brilliant 😊. Great interview Klaus! Thanks 👍🏻
Absolutely love Dr. Greger. I’ve been vegan for 15yrs but this man is my hero❤
41 years sober and plant based.
Love Dr. Greger!
I loved Dr. Gregor for so many reasons, but Noam Chomsky? Now Dr. Gregor is even more awesome!
Purple sweet potatoes are so hard to find in an average US grocery store. I guess you gotta find a Whole Foods or something like that
Love when you do lightning rounds with those you are interviewing. So informative and fun. ❤
PROUD SOYBOY AND ANIMAL LOVER
Love, Dr. Gregor, choice of hero Noam Chomsky!❤
Good stuff..... Those who are vegetarian and vegan.... you are the best. Need more people like this in the world❤
What a concise barrage of healthy guidance! Thank you PBN and Dr. Greger!
I really enjoy Dr. Greger and appreciate his sense of humor and goofiness 🤪 He could have definitely made a living as an actor👍
M Greger ,Colin Campbell, Dr Dean Ornish and Dr Caldwell Esselstyn all say NO olive oil, just give it up. Plant Based eaters still holding on to olive oil is just a example of what greger always say "everyone loves hearing good things about their bad habits.
Olive oil is omega 9 which the body makes itself, so another reason not to have it. Its not necessary
He amazes me with his memory and passion!
Fire!! Love this!!❤
These are very thoughtful questions

I'm sitting here with my third coffee, and my wife suggested I get moving. I said "Hey! I'm working on my longevity over here!"
I love this so much Great job Klaus!
Rational, passionate and funny... How can someone not love Dr. Greger? :)
This is a short and very educative video ! Thnx for the hard work !
Loved it! Dr. Greger's energy was amazing as always! Super enjoyable, swift, and filled with excellent information for those who don't really want to do the research we all had to do ourselves back in the day. Thank you, gentlemen ❤
Excellent video!
Great interview but please not that for non-native speakers the interview is really hard to follow. Please keep in mind that many people here aren't native speakers.
Love his vibe!
All I heard was coffee…GOOD! 😃
Addiction to the natural pesticide caffeine. 😉
Ya!! 💃🤸
Loved it. Thank you. Always great to watch you both. Much respect.
Great Video!
Gotta love Dr Gregor. Thank you for this, I really enjoyed these quick fire responses from a person I deeply respect.
Enjoyed seeing you recently in St. Louis, Dr. Greger. Come see us again soon!
When I thought it wasn't possible to like Dr Greger more than I do already, he goes and says his hero is Noam Chomsky! What a legend.
Greger is the man. More man than all the carn lovers put together.
We've been WFPB for over 18 years...best decision ever! Especially being seniors, we don't have any ailments to compare to our peers...It's sad people will scrutinize their dog/cat food labels with a microscope but don't consider the food choices they make for themselves is based strictly on taste, not nutrition, never mind never considering what happens AFTER they swallow!
I am very interested in Dr. Greger’s opinions. Thank you very much.
Fun and informative !
Excellent! Thank you both!
Fantastic!!!! Thank you!
Dr. Greger is so awesome.

I'm new to this guy. What's so great about him?
Omg I love Dr Greger! The information he gives in this quickfire round is rich & intense! What a star!! (His advice in How Not to Die saved my life, literally)! Thank you!
So useful that
Great vid. Thx
what a legend, its taken me a long time but i know what to eat nowm oats blueerries walnuts for breakfast, kale buttergreens salads for lunch and stirfy with everything he reccomends for tea, blessed to be alive at the same time as dr g, still gotta read all those dam books tho ughh
They are easy and fun to read, only the first 2 parts of How Not To Age are a bit detailed re pathways of the body, the rest of the book easy and fun.
Loved this video.
So many interesting things I got from this interview! Fir example killing zombie cells properties of strawberries.
But I was surprised that importance of sleep is overrated for longevity.
Also I definitely wanna check out Noah Chomsky now, heard a lot about him, but never read
He’s such a smart guy 🥰 I love his passion
I like these videos. So helpful
That was good...going to watch it again.
I eat a LOT of mushrooms.

He's a legend in his own lunch time!!!
I can't understand what the interviewer said for question two. Can someone help me?
“Daily exercise, optional or essential ?”
Omg I literally found Klaus at an airport once
