A pope has one over-riding priority - to guard the deposit of Faith handed down from the Apostles.

Any pope that rejects that duty in order to oblige diabolical sects - and to run with the spirit of the age - has thereby rejected his own papal authority in so doing.

A Pope is a sinner. A Pope is only infallible when defining or expounding ex cathedra dogma, or on the perennial teachings of the divine deposit of faith of the Catholic Church. It is possible for popes to commit error, history is littered with popes that have. The difference with this one, is that he does not heed correction from his fellow bishops, he is not a law unto himself. The current Pope may hold the office validly but that doesn't mean he cannot teach error. He may also be there by God's permissive will, not by His direct will. Follow the truth of the divine deposit of faith, or follow error, those are the choices.
