Thank you so much for taking the time to show how to make this cake 🎂 I’m going to my father in law’s for Christmas and I’m going to make this 💙💙💙. I know it’s going to be loved. Thank you again.
Love this!! Do you have the recipe somewhere that shows amounts of each ingredient? And also, I’ve never heard of using grape seed oil, does it make a difference in taste versus regular oil?
Hello, thank you for watching. The written recipe is in the description box or it is under the reply of a recent comment. You can also use olive oil. I use grape seed oil for health benefits. Hope this helps.
@@thepotspoonkitchen thank you so much! I’m baking a blue velvet cake tomorrow for my sisters birthday and the video is so helpful🙏 do you know if there is any substitute for the buttermilk btw?
@@marieturk5468 yes. Add a teaspoon of white vinegar to the milk and allow it to curdle about 5 minutes. Let me know how it turns out. Please subscribe thanks for watching.
I thort you not suppose to mix a cake batter to long ,you have been mixing it alot aftr each few drops of color thts alot of mixing ,doesn't tht make cake tough or gummy end of day ?
@@YolandaCesroe good question. Once the flour goes in, that's when you have to minimize mixing. You cannot allow gluten to form. This cake has baking soda so it's a crumby cake. Thank you for watching 🙂. Hope that helps. There is also a reason why is always mix small batches of cakes beginning with mixer and once I add flour, I use hand mixing. Too much air in a cake batter dries it out. Almost everytime you use hand mixing, you will get a moist cake.
That looks sooo good. I love your channel. As a Caribbean person you make me so proud.
Thank you. This means alot. Look out for alot of easy international dishes in 2024. Tha k you for supporting.
Very interesting way of doing it. I've always sifted the cocoa powder in the flour and got an ugly green. Will definitely try this
Thank you. Let me know how it turns out.
