Most ayakashi anime shows always have that. Whenever a spirit or god is shown in the older periods they have longer hair because men in the past had long hair and then compared to the character in the present time with shorter hair because most men now have shorter hair. I think it is their way of presenting the difference in appearance and culture of the character in the past and present. In most of the stories like these, those characters with hair length difference also have their personality changed in the present time.

I love how as you go deeper in the show, the Intro gets more movement with the characters. A very cool little detail that keeps me from skipping it entirely.

Just finished watching it and... yeah I can guess how long you've been waiting. I'll start waiting too... plus both seasons were absolutely amazing. And the end of season 2 got me hype, I really wish they continued... but it will come back (maybe). I mean Bleach finally returned after 10 years... so maybe Noragami will eventually too.
It's funny how much difference a few extra panels makes. This version of the opening with some movement from the wind, walking, and slowly turning in the middle seems so much better to me. Watching the still images and then watching them move slowly, it feels like they've been given life
