    It always beneficial to learn from Dr. Yasir Qadhi. It was my dream to visit EPIC mosque, last year in December, I visited EPIC mosque in Texas, only for one day, prayed Jumah there. But Dr. Yasir was outside the town. Inshallah I will visit again, and meet and musafah with Dr. Yasir Qadhi. Ameen.

    Finally, he told us the source of Islamophoebia and it makes sense, because of "controlling" and money giving to everybody. First time hearing. Jazak Allah khair.

      It makes sense from a sectarian point of view, and its not necessarily Islamaphobia, but has to do with control. "We paid for this mosque, therefore, you will teach according to the acceptable standards of the state."
      That is not any different from any government, including the US. They get their pound of flesh no matter what it is.

    I'm from Scandinavia (native) but now live in Turkiye (Turkey). This video is very good, everything is true and accurate, but I want to add two main reasons for right leaning parties growing:
    1, the birth rates and fear of being a minority in their own countries. I think it's normal to want to be the majority in ones own country. Syrians, Pakistanis, Indonesians etc. would react the same if suddenly pork eating blondes were a majority in their country. Of course, this is not the muslim immigrants' fault, but it is them it affects and both sides must discuss how to solve this. But right now there is no mature discussion, one is called a racist if one mentions this and this adds to the frustration of people who are not racists but simply want their culture in their own country 100 years from now.
    2, a very big increase in violent crime and gang rapes. Of course a very small percent of muslim immigrants do this, but it's a big increase and big problem. People worry about their daughters safety, and often the punishment is only a few months jail or no jail if they are young, which makes people angry. And Latino immigrants don't do this, Indian immigrants don't do this. So even though it's a very small amount of muslim immigrants, people see a pattern that it is only them who do it.
    Regarding halal slaughter it's a difficult situation because it's mandatory for muslims but is against Scandinavian beliefs about animal rights.
    By the way, before I moved they built a very big mosque near my house. It's beautiful and I think some muslim countries funded it like you mentioned. Unfortunately the liberal governments don't respect religion at all, it's the same with churches. If a church speaks against LGBTQ they are in big trouble too.

    • @ANEEAMA
      @ANEEAMA 10 месяцев назад +5

      You are right. Adding to your point, Indians mostly came through educational backgrounds, not through blue color job or refugees, otherwise it would have been different. When you invite the highly educational class from any society, their behavior will be different from people from war torn countries or uneducated backgrounds. Even their understanding of religion might be different. In Texas, most of the Pakistanis including Yasir Quadhi’s father came through educational backgrounds ( studying PhD). As Yasir Quadhi mentioned, majority of the Muslims in Scandinavia ( except few ) came for blue color jobs or came as refugees which is socially and behaviorally different people in their own countries.

    • @ANEEAMA
      @ANEEAMA 10 месяцев назад +2

      Further, Muslim or Islam is a religion, hence different ethnic Muslims behave differently. For example, a Malaysian Muslim behavior is completely different from an Afghan Muslim because Malaysian Muslim lived in a multicultural and multi religious society.

    Ma sha Allah, Yasir Qadhi knows a lot about Denmark. The first manual workers in Denmark came in the late 60 ties from Turkey, Pakistan, Kosovo Macedonia and Morocco without their families. Later in the 70ties families came. Islam came to Denmark with the refugies in the late 80ties 90ties, and some danes converted. Today we are thousands of danish converts. Alhamdulillah!! But we do have problems, as brother Yasir explained, Islam has been gradually more and more frowned upon since 2001.

    The right wing in the UK has similar concerns too, British culture is changing too fast, some immigrants (particularly asylum seekers) are exploiting too much welfare financial benefits and the native English are struggling financially. As Muslims, we need to work extra hard, be independent and earn the trust of others.

    To lower tensions and to be more positively received by the indigenous Scandinavian people, may I suggest that muslims in Scandinavia adopt the indigenous cultures in as far as those that are not "haram" in Islam.
    For example, instead of men wearing thobes and skull caps, dress like they do while having no compromise on making sure that obedience to the fiqh that the men's "awrat" are not to be exposed to the public.
    Another example is building mosques using indigenous architectural features so as not to look too foreign and stick out like a sore thumb in the Scandinavian landscape or cityscape
    (for example, look at the construction of pagoda like rooftops of mosques in China that blend with the China landscape).
    Encourage the involvement of the locals in mosque activities to promote better understanding and thus allay fear of Islam.
    In short, muslims must be more patient, have more wisdom and willing to play the long game for Islam to be gradually accepted as just a religion and way of life that will not threaten the local culture at all.

      I will tell you, that the religious muslim communities very rarely have much contact with the Scandinavian natives. Those who do are usually well received, at workplaces and elsewhere. But there is also a large segment of muslims who do not seem very devout, at least judging by the drinking and drug use. You guys really need to focus on those. They've established a whole new criminal underworld ruled by gangs like LTF. It's very visible, not a good look, and they don't listen to us.

    I think a lot of the problems have to do with ignorance and misunderstanding on both sides. I grew up with some muslim kids who treated me very badly for many years, and as a child I never understood why. It's complicated - Obviously many of the frustrations they felt, weren't about me at all. I was just a child too, I did nothing to them. Such resentful feelings need better direction. We actually wanted to help. There is also a gang/drug/gun problem (increasing my whole life). I hope you talk to some of them, too. They don't listen to us.

    As an open-minded Swede, it is not only Islamophobia. There have been extremist connections, and lots of extra funding from suspect sources in Saudi, UAE, and Iran. And others on school boards promoting sharia laws. Those laws are not compatible with life in Scandinavia. There are still many Muslim schools and new Mosques are being built as we speak.
    But in general, this is spot on why the nation turned right, for me as a leftie it is a sad thing.
    But just as Swedes most nowadays are less religious, the same pattern follows with Muslim groups. They still see themselves as Muslims but are more liberal and distance themselves from the extremists. Give it a couple of generations and the Muslim numbers will grow, but the hardcore active Muslim numbers will decrease and they will not send their children to Muslim schools instead they want their children in normal schools just like any other Swede. And that is integration it just takes time.

      "Islam invaded.."??? .."it destroyed all the old cultures"???..
      Are you a space traveller, seeing things only from far..?
      For us Malays, Islam came to us, yes! Not by invasion or colonization And we thank Allah for giving our ancestors and our Rulers, as early as a thousand years ago,,for giving the "hidayah" to them:: Faith in Allah the Almighty, the Creator. We willingly embrace the Faith of Islam .
      The only people who invaded or colonised us were Europeans!! Portugese, Dutch and British.
      But our Islam was not destroyed throughout their presence.... Thank Allah swt.
      Has your culture been destroyed by Islam in any way?
      As for our ethnic cultures, we have NO problem retaining any part , if it does not go against the Syariah (rules in the religion of Islam) AND we willingly discard the part that goes against the law.
      Each ethnic group still has its own language until eternity, if that what it takes to define a group. Yet we gain another language, Arabic. As we all read the Al-Ouran in Arabic. And we adopt numerous Arabic terms into our own vocabulary, enriching it..making it easy for us to talk of Faith and Religion
      We cook and eat own style cuisines; dress in our ethnic fashion; yet they all should comply to the Syariat. No problem.
      God Says He Made Mankind into Nations so that they know one another. Find this in the AlQuran.
      So no one is supposed to change another person's culture,,,,just fine tuning it for the better.
      Thank you for reading.

Not sure about the numbers but it is far more then 10000 years anyway. A somali muslim friend say to me that this country ( Sweden ) was here before i came, i have no right to demand anything. We Muslims typically don't demand anything. We can raise funds to build our own mosques. If countries' governments choose to build places of worship for people, that's okay; they can do that and aren't obligated to do so for Muslims. All Muslims want is to follow their religion respectfully. We worship one God and promote goodness and modesty. If someone tries to force Muslims to drink, expose skin, or do anything that goes against our beliefs just to show that we are integrating with others, we don't believe that is right. Plus, that is not your culture. This modernism and secular values have been instilled on people recently; we Muslims follow the culture of the land and enrich it with our own. We are commanded to be good to our people and those around us by God, or God will punish us. But at the same time, we can't compromise on religion. If you say to leave your religion, you need to convince us with a valid argument without hate or burning Quran. If you can show us that what you are saying is better, then we would follow because we are commanded to seek truth wherever we find it.

      Sweden is a full member of NATO so while your position makes alot of sense and gets sympathy as all people should have a right to their lands, your country traded that for involvement in the organization which created the conditions for destabilization and migrations. It's too late now without doing something really extreme, you should have locked down your countries with actual protest in 2011 at least when NATO was helping bomb Libya, messing up Afghanistan after they got tricked by Mossad, etc. etc.

    What I find strange about all of this is that as Muslims, we know about the problems of these countries, we see the impact on ourselves over time and we see the result of many Muslim children who grow up in these places. And yet, Muslims are still immigrating to these countries. Forget war-torn places because obviously that's a different dynamic but a lot of Muslims are moving to these countries seeking a "better" life. Where is the emphasis to improve the Muslim countries so that people don't have to leave?

    The problem of sectarianism and a disunited Ummah here in America is much worse than in Europe by my experience as an American revert. In fact its aweful. Every masjid I've gone to in the US, and I have gone to a lot, contains insurmountable ethnic splits, and yes, here in America, there are Pakistani mosques, Saudi Mosques, Turkish Mosques. Deny as you like, but that is the fact of it, and unless you are an American born (European descent former christian), you wont understand this.
    Lately, I have been thinking to petition the congress as a Muslim to place a ban on bringing in foreign imams. Islam has been in the US long enough that there should only be American born imams trained possibly overseas, but american born and raised only. Why? Because America values diversity of culture, and people born into other cultures have a lot of trouble understanding and embracing this.
    Another thing. Arabic is the language of the Quran. Not the language spoken by the local population in the US. Khutbahs need to uniformly be spoken in English here in this country.
    Also, bringing in charities to give Khutbahs I really do not understand this. Khutbahs should be provided only by Imams and authentic scholars in Islam, or did the prophet just allow anyone to give Khutbahs when he was living? This is not Sunnah.

    • @hashimjune4547
      @hashimjune4547 11 месяцев назад

      You are right in so many ways. It is the same in Canada. Foreign Imams of different ethnicities can be found at every single mosque. As someone who is not conversant in Arabic it took me sometime to find a Mosque with an English speaking Imam for Friday prayers. Understanding the Khutbah is very important as it makes up for the shortened Dhuhr prayers. Apart from this, the differing ethnicities does complicate certain social issues and it has proven to occasionally disunite and segregate the community. I had an opportunity to speak about foreign Imams and, to a certain extent, understood this as being part of the socio economic issue. As an example, a foreign Imam is happy living in some part of the mosque in very modest living conditions. A citizen of the country may not consider this. Charities delivering Khutbahs is unheard of though, in parts of the world where I live/lived.

      Mufti tariq masood has made it crystal clear that the khutbah MUST be in arabic. Thats a fatwa. The reward is for listening to it in arabic. Then it can be translated into english if people can be bothered to sit for longer

    • @Dmack0713
      @Dmack0713 11 месяцев назад +4

      @@razamughal9095 Respectfully, I disagree. Can you cite the references in Quran that state this? Or how about can you quote from a Hadith?
      You see, its things like this that make me step back as a Muslim and question things about our Ummah.
      We follow Quran, and we follow the authenticated Hadith that make up the Sunnah of the prophet. As a Muslim Revert, I am extremely sensitive to this kind of thing because I followed Bidda as a Christian for half my life and regret every day of it.
      NEVER just follow! Question everything! Learn for yourself from the authentic sources. Remember, as a Muslim you will be held accountable for your beliefs and actions, and following other peoples interpretations without authenticating it takes you down a very dangerous road - the same road traveled by the Christians and some Jews.

    • @Dmack0713
      @Dmack0713 11 месяцев назад +1

      @@Tothose Why does there have to be cultural differences? Can you explain this?
      Why is it I can go to work at an American company and not notice any cultural differences of any kind with my coworkers or managers who may be from another culture, but when I go to almost any masjid in America, cultural differences drive quite a lot of their actions?
      These cultural differences seem to be a systemic issue with masjids in America perhaps because they choose to follow that path rather than a culturally agnostic path from the top down.
      This needs to change. Masjids are not for one culture or another - they are supposed to be for all Muslims regardless of cultural background or language. Whatever country the masjid resides in is the language it needs to speak primarily, and that masjid needs to be culturally sensitive to the host country's culture as well without compromising islamic values.

    Subhanallah. Very enlightening. I can see many similarities with our community in France. France is known for being a very socialist country but is is becoming more and more right-oriented because of the fear that muslims are gonna destroy French culture and identity. Niqab is forbidden. The hijab is forbidden in high schools and they are trying to create more restrictions. Our imams have very little freedom of speech and they are generaly immigrants or son of immigrants. Also in our community I feel like we are not always united. Like cultural différences between algerians, morrocans, tunisians, or other African ethnicities.
