this gives off the vibe of Growing up in a lovely town, moving to a bigger city to study, stay there for 20 years, decide you want to revisit your home town only to realise it's all been abandoned and broken.. your house that you loved , being destroyed due to noone caring for it , your old school being completely empty...
Much appreciated...While it is to some extend creepy... Its still enjoyable (at least for me) to listen to and I dont even exactly know all the meanings and secrets behind this song
This outcome is just an empty room, no interactions, no options, no nothing. And yet it feels like something's gonna come out. Toby really has a big taste of horror, doesn't he
It sounded like when a moralizing cartoon (like Franklin or Arthur or that canadian garbage które puszczali na TVP1 w ramach dobranocki od 2005-2010 about the bunnies or some shit) has a scene when the main character does something morally wrong like cheating to their parents or stealing and the mood instantly shifts, the disturbing music kicks in and you watch the character get through a nightmarish cavalcade of pressure, consequences and overall exclusion by every other character in the series, which ends with them regretting their "mistake", confessing to their parents and saying they're sorry, which makes the mom go "okay, we accept the apology but you have to be punished" after which the main character happily accepts the punishment since it's way better than the social mindwash they received earlier. This particular scene really reeks of that, except in this game they don't moralize and you're free to kill, steal and plot in the other route.
Imagine an episode like this, except it's something innocuous that leads to a chain of events that affects the main character behind the scenes without their knowledge. The same mounting wave of pressure, consequences, and exclusion occur, only with an increasing wave of terror as the character fails to understand what's going on or if they've even done anything wrong, thus we never see the relief of confession as the episode ends on a looming, ominous note.
It reminds me of when you log into an online game you used to play all the time but there’s just one guy there just exploring the map and you find him and start emoting. Like a false sense of happiness. You’ve found someone and they’re emoting with you, but the truth is that there should be 38 other happy people there who just aren’t.
There was a roblox game called space knights that I played many years ago and I once rediscovered it just to find out it was last updated 6 years ago and nobody was playing it, and it was unplayably buggy Edit: This is the same for a few other roblox games I used to play aswell
pov: you walk into an abandoned mall with only a few lights on, and this music is playing. you explore around, and you hear a phone ringing. you pick up the phone… *b u t a l l y o u h e a r i s g a r b a g e n o i s e .*
I've always loved genocide remixes, they just feel heavier, tired, broken even... but they're there to remind you where are you heading to, and that's what makes them special to me.
this gives me a "subconscious depression " vibe (not to say that is an aesthetic, which it is most certainly not,) because it sounds happy, but so sad the the same time, "subconscious depression" is where you feel "happy," but you are actually depressed (you can still feel happy whilst depressed, just not in huge amounts) and you act upbeat while not knowing that you need help.
This gives off the dread of not seeing someone or something for a while and coming back to find nothing but memories. The familiar has become an unfamiliar dread and what was once full of joy has been abandoned and removed.
Something that makes this theme so terrifying is how empty it is, the gaps between the notes, the creeping violin and the phone ringing in the background. It all gives me the picture of someone who can’t remember who they are, despite trying so hard to, they just physically or mentally can’t. it sounds so hopeless and melancholic, so empty, so tragic . . . This sounds like a good story idea now that I think of it . . .
I hate how even after spamton is gone and you van never bring him back that that one single syllable lough plays everytime you decide to re-enter his shop, as if he's still there... watching.
is it officially called "Missed Call"? I just saw 30% slowed versions of dialtone and this isnt anywhere on the ost so im just wondering if thats the official name
I don't know how to explain it but this version makes me feel less uncomfortable than the original. The original freaks me the hell out but this version somehow feels less.... sad? I don't know how to explain it
This moment. This moment is when all the fun from screaming dialogues, making dumb remarks and enjoying his character in general stopped. It felt so surreal... I didn't like his empty shop, and I didn't like the basement. I just wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. I wanted to see him again, even if, after the transfer, it meant I'd have to fight him. This is such an.. Indescribable moment.
seeing NEO just... flop down. that was actually tragic, and horrifying to see after his little speech of being set free and hearing that cheerful music
I'm surprise nobody had said this but this give off the same vibes of when you play DDLC and you seee sayori's death and I just zooms in on her hanging and the music (sayo-nara) starts playing. Its honestly depressing
I have this novelty rotary telephone handle that has a jack to so you can actually take calls/listen to music/etc. and it modifies the sound quality so it sounds like an actual rotary phone-just like Spamtons. I don’t think I was as ready to listen to this as I thought I was.
Spamton is like when you bug out the game or edit the files and encounter a nearly finished enemy or npc, they seem finished, they seem like they don’t need anything added or removed, but there’s something ever so slightly off about them that makes you feel like something is horribly wrong.
I don't know why, but I just LOOOOVE every single creepy/genocide moment this game gives more than I love the game in its pacifist state. But then again, Aren't these two the exact same? =)
@@sharpshooterxigbar5713 But ask yourself this: Did the death of Toriel, Papyrus, Undyne, Sans, and the rest, contribute to the bigger picture? Sure you might have gotten a different ending, but what about doing a different route afterwards? What about Chara? Nothing changes.
I absolutely adore the story and characters and everything. But moments like everything to do with spamton is so much more interesting to me simply because of the juxtaposition. The main story is pretty wholesome and nice but spamton is such an outlier that's why I love it

Toby really has a big taste of horror, doesn't he
When you remember a channel you used to watch a lot from back in 2008 and find out they haven't uploaded a video in 10 years.
Toby really needs to make a horror game by now because he would be great at it.
Imagine a Yume Nikki-like game where you’re playing as Spamton. There'd definitely be a Mystery Man room moment or two lol.
Undertale and Deltarune are already pretty much psychological horror, depending on the route you take.
Deltarune Halloween Hack

Im a big fan of spamton and hearing this at first gives me a pang of emotion, like an actual pang. i feel like it i got hit with something gently.
imagine this in a huge hall with a creepy echo, looped or on music box
the energy
When you’re the last one awake at a friend’s sleepover:
This particular scene really reeks of that, except in this game they don't moralize and you're free to kill, steal and plot in the other route.
...Or basically Pinocchio.
Reminds me of the absolute horror of going onto an online game that nobody plays anymore
No players online
It reminds me of when you log into an online game you used to play all the time but there’s just one guy there just exploring the map and you find him and start emoting. Like a false sense of happiness. You’ve found someone and they’re emoting with you, but the truth is that there should be 38 other happy people there who just aren’t.
What it feels like checking out a game you used to love, just to find out it’s fandom has disappeared…
There was a roblox game called space knights that I played many years ago and I once rediscovered it just to find out it was last updated 6 years ago and nobody was playing it, and it was unplayably buggy
Edit: This is the same for a few other roblox games I used to play aswell
this song sounds like depressing nostalgia.

I've always loved genocide remixes, they just feel heavier, tired, broken even... but they're there to remind you where are you heading to, and that's what makes them special to me.
@kiwi but almost of the slowed remixes are from genocide, but i don't want to say that almost all slowed remix are from genocide, but i believe it
The best part is that this isn't even from genocide.
It just represents the tired, broken, nature of spamton himself.
@@spamtong.2299 so cold.
Bro if anything you can’t even hear this song in the genocide route.
this is exclusive to pacifist though
This is how it feels going back to your favorite childhood playground only to find it's now a parking lot
Why is the dumpster spambot the most depressing character in the game
because it's a metaphor for what you're doing to kris, and it's one of the only ways you really go "oh, i'm doing some fucked up shit"
Because he was failed and was discarded…
this gives me a "subconscious depression " vibe (not to say that is an aesthetic, which it is most certainly not,) because it sounds happy, but so sad the the same time, "subconscious depression" is where you feel "happy," but you are actually depressed (you can still feel happy whilst depressed, just not in huge amounts) and you act upbeat while not knowing that you need help.
It all gives me the picture of someone who can’t remember who they are, despite trying so hard to, they just physically or mentally can’t. it sounds so hopeless and melancholic, so empty, so tragic . . .
This sounds like a good story idea now that I think of it . . .

There's a seldom used word that describes precisely that feeling - Kenopsia
“We’re sorry, but the number you are attempting to reach is no longer in service”
It feels like going to an abandoned school you used to go in. Its destroyed. No joy. Just rubble and some standing walls.
it feels like when you dumbfounded about your beautiful past and it won't be the same again
God, this gives the absolute chills
(And definitely a empty house vibe too)
I hate how even after spamton is gone and you van never bring him back that that one single syllable lough plays everytime you decide to re-enter his shop, as if he's still there... watching.
i love the fact that, even though we cant see it anymore, we can still hear the phone ringing....
is it officially called "Missed Call"? I just saw 30% slowed versions of dialtone and this isnt anywhere on the ost so im just wondering if thats the official name
Nah, that's just a name I came up with on the spot. Helps it stands out rather than just being "Dialtone Slowed Down"
@@belowaverage50 it's a really excellent name for it, imo

I don't know how to explain it but this version makes me feel less uncomfortable than the original. The original freaks me the hell out but this version somehow feels less.... sad? I don't know how to explain it
Less sad, More empty
the other one is like trying to be happy, but failing
this one is just empty
This moment. This moment is when all the fun from screaming dialogues, making dumb remarks and enjoying his character in general stopped. It felt so surreal... I didn't like his empty shop, and I didn't like the basement. I just wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. I wanted to see him again, even if, after the transfer, it meant I'd have to fight him.
This is such an.. Indescribable moment.
It for some reason makes me feel like we messed up when we give the disk to spamton and like he's been fully broken after that point.

I have this novelty rotary telephone handle that has a jack to so you can actually take calls/listen to music/etc. and it modifies the sound quality so it sounds like an actual rotary phone-just like Spamtons.
I don’t think I was as ready to listen to this as I thought I was.
How it feels when you log into your old Roblox account from 2012 and you find all your friends were last online 8 years ago.
Spamton is like when you bug out the game or edit the files and encounter a nearly finished enemy or npc, they seem finished, they seem like they don’t need anything added or removed, but there’s something ever so slightly off about them that makes you feel like something is horribly wrong.
