Hey guys! Actually The Witcher series isn't based on games, it and the games aswell are inspired by books written by Andrzej Sapkowski (2 being a collection of short stories and a 5-book Witcher Saga) in the late 80s and 90s. The author would kill you if he heard this ONE MORE time ;) Anyway, I highly recommend the books and then later games which are follow-up to the novels. All of them are magnificent. The Witcher series shows only some of the short stories, changing them a little, and by those who have read the books is considered worse and lackluster comparing to original. I hope this statement made you interested in checking them out :P
EDIT: How could I forget recommending Radogost - Wild Hunt? Another incredible Witcher inspired song :P

This Striga fight is the intro of the 1st Witcher videogame. The same scene is pretty much in the Netflix series.
What a coincidence, I just listened to this song yesterday after who knows how many years :) It's on "Inspired by The Witcher" audio CD that came with the game (which came out in 2007, the first game in the series).
Ok guys, if he gets into Witcher 3, we'll see the next video in a few months.

Its great to see someone reacting to a song that not many ppl know about. Vader was a huge fan of the Witcher series and made this specifically for the first game. Poland is kick ass!

Actually, the Witcher TV series _and_ video games are both based on a series of books by Andrezj Sapkowski. The TV series is a direct adaptation of the books, and the video games are not canon to the book series (declared so by Sapkowski himself; he has a bit of a grudge against CD Projekt Red because people think of the video games before the books, if they even know the books exist).
Actually Sapkowski have a grudge against CD PRojekt because he sold the rights to to them for like 3000$ because he was convinced the games would flop and now he's being a little bitch about it.
@TheWildHealer That’s not the reasoning he actually gave when asked. However, none of us are mind readers and that could very well be his actual reason, and he lied for the sake of saving face.
Either way, I do disagree with how he’s reacted to the whole thing. I mean… it’s not CDPR’s fault that the fans of the games don’t know about the books. The blame’s not on their shoulders, nor does it belong there.
And if your reason is correct… well, he should have considered all outcomes to be equally possible. And why would he _not_ want any adaptation of his books to succeed? I know if _I_ heard someone wanted to adapt my original work into a film, TV series, video game, what have you, _I_ would be rooting for it to succeed. It just… doesn’t compute.
And The Witcher 1 is getting FULL REMAKE!
The game is based on 9 Novell of polish writer Sapkowski and Vader is famous polish black metal band. Everything what you see is polish. Also game-cd project.
Thanks for doing this one. I like this song better than most of Vader's newer stuff: there's more texture and tonality on the vocals. Nowadays they just sound like every other death metal band; I don't know if they changed vocalists or what.
This song was actually on a bonus disc that came with the first Witcher game.

IT is not based on the game.....just read the books which was written by A. Sapkowski - i'm from Poland where the Witcher came from.....the game is based on the book, this track is for game....but game is also from Poland and its wonderfull! Ok, but regarding to Vader.....this is not their genre....listen to other albums, they are one of the greatest death metal bands 💪🏻🤟🏻
