When i was starting with maya, our sir gave us this basket (not exactly same) i was like yeah thats easy then i went home opened maya, started & half way through i was like "what the fook" how do i make these holes 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Thank you for the awesome tutorial. Also, what is the next step to paint it in Substance?? you create UVs for this high poly model, or you create low poly and make UV for it? If you use low poly, I am not sure that holes will appear in the Substance.
I use Vitaly Bulgarov’s solution. Which is selecting the vertices and beveling them until they reach each other. I can’t remember the correct values but test it! I think it’s more simple
@@MHTutorials3D It's the same method of creating a tire thread, model a pattern in a flat state and then just use the bend deformer to get it into shape.
Having found myself needing to do wire shapes in the past many a time this is really something useful to remember. Thanks a lot Mike!
I am happy it is helpful !
Wow... This guy is way better than my maya teacher 😮👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks again for this Mike, I was making wire mesh again and couldn't remember poke. Such a useful tool.
This is exactly what I was looking for. How to make wireframe out of edges. Thanks a lot
Very welcome

That was a great tutorial and wonderful use of demonstrating the tools!
Thank you once again Mike, for another awesome tutorial...
Why did you stop recording your mouse cursor? Noticing this for a while now.. makes some things much more difficult to follow as it's happening.
It has been fixed

I've just did a diamond shape wall follow your method, before I want mannual cut it -_- ,Thank you sir for making this tutorial
Great tutorial thank you!! Used this to make mesh to go around a scuba diving oxygen tank :)
Cool !

There is a saying in my country "Many roads lead to Rome"
Very good, simple, efficient ! Thank you.
Very cool Mike! As usual super clear and simple instructions, thanks again!
Thanks John
thank you so much this tutorial helped a lot.
Glad to hear that!
Another method would be to created whatever pattern you want, and use the bend deformer and other deformers to get it into the basket shape.
Interesting, and how would that work ?

What we can do for those squares transform to circles after 3 press ?
Soo best tutorial
WOW, Nice Tutorial. Thanks for Making.
Thank you
Smart! Thank you
Hi. What did you do at 5:51? I did not understand)))
I said "hit delete"
@@MHTutorials3D Thanks
Thanks for the tutorial, Mike! What would you do to fill in the holes to cover the back faces to have the wire frame have faces on the inside?
Extrude the whole thing to give it thickness
Mike, I may have missed something, but how do you get rid of the black inside the polygon through extruding it?
Select the basket model and >extrude >offset slightly :)
@@rskyras I shall give that a go sometime, thank you very much russ :)
Thanks Mike!
Nice one cool tutorial 🖖
Very good!
Good tutorial and easier way as well is to make an alpha map
Well you could but with an alpha specularity could be an issue when using specular material on the wire
Nice!
why we cant see your curser
greate
I can't see the hatching :(
Дякую))
It's looks good with table you made
