Our Wolf E series oven control board died after only 28 months of use. We have been waiting for more than a month for the Wolf certified service to get the replacement parts and repair our oven. Seems like very poor quality and service from what is advertised as a “high end” brand. Based on our experience, we would not recommend.

165° carving temperature for a roast? Good heavens! Even the overly-conservative USDA guidelines only suggest 145°F, and most chefs I know would prefer 130° for medium-rare, and 140° for medium (or 150° for medium-well). Heaven forbid someone should want a well-done roast, even that would only be 160°. 165° is the usual internal temperature for poultry, not for beef, lamb, or pork.

What is the difference between bake and roast????

I'm not positive, but I think "Roast" uses the temperature probe and cooks to temperature, whereas "Bake" does not use the temperature probe and cooks to time.

Does Wolf recommend that this oven be vented & exhausted? I have had ovens blow their fuses from overheating..NOTE: most manufacturers recommend exhausting their ovens!

Do these come in colours? Designing an Arts and Crafts Kitchen in Quarter Sawn Oak and thinking of using red appliances.

Yes, he did. 2:03 "It is an expensive oven at forty three hundred dollars..." So $4300 in 2018 when this video was made.

I still don't get why they are 10x more expensive than other ovens.

10x more expensive? Even the cheapest Frigidaire at Brandsmart will set you back $1000-1200. The Wolf E series is around $4k. Hardly 10x the price. People can and do make this observation about everything. Why buy a BMW 5 series for 4 times the price of a Kia? They both will get you to where you are going...

Because a wolf stove heats evenly and it doesnt matter where the food is it all cooks the same no hot spots and the oven has a very narrow temperature spike. Most ovens will swing +-25 degrees or more. It is also not made in freeking china like all the junk ovens from cheaper brands
