I watched all four videos which were all great! I’m very thankful. It helped me a lot to choose my next silencer. Really nice videos! :-)

Ok that is surprising! It is the first time I am hearing I would be allowed to leave the silencer on the barrel...
Any other manufacturer of silencer does warn to leave it on due to possible resulting barrel fauling in this case.
Next: the bore snake: the integrated bronze brushes could harm the black coating, which is protecting the aluminium. Without the coating the aluminium is weak and will get damage due to powder residue, which is reacting in combination with moisture to acid.

And last: STALON does only allow yout to make not more than 10 shoots in a row. After that you have to let the silencer cool completely down. So it is not possible to use it in shooting-cinemas or for lots of training at the running moose. Otherwise you lose your warranty!

Keep this in mind and please correct me if I am wrong.

      Hi,
      Thanks for your response.
I can't either agree or disagree with you, I can only refer to what Daniel says in the film. I have used the advice I got from Daniel through the years and my equipment work excellent and I have no problem with corrosion, either on the barrel or the silencer. As Daniel says, it is a good thing to take the silencer off when you have shot several rounds and clean the barrel.
The thing with only 10 shots in a row, I have never heard of. If I read on Stalons homepage it says this about warranty:
Where did you get the info regarding the 10 shot rules from? I have shot as many as 100 rounds in 30 min, in my .308 at the shooting cinema. I can tell you that the silencer and barrel is HOT ;-) The problem that occurs when it gets that hot is that the barrel support melt, so when shooting that much, I dismount the barrel support, and remount it when the barrel/silencer has cooled down. I can't say anything regarding warranty issues, but I have never had a problem with the equipment. After cleaning the barrel, it is as accurate as ever before. I can't tell others how they shall do. Normally I do not shot that much in a short time because the heat from the barrel/silencer becomes a problem.... ;-)
I wish you a nice day,
      Tobias

Möjligt att ultraljudstvätta ljuddämparen för att få bort krutrester inuti tro istället för att använda sig av aggressiva medel??

I made the mistake of buying one of these x108 model. Stick with something like an Aimsport. This think starts corroding after first use and requires daily cleaning to stop it turning into rot. Do not buy

I do not know the Aimsport silencer, but I have had Stalons silencers for almost 20 years, and have never had any issues overlong time use and I do not clean my silencers more then once a year and never had any of them malfunctioned. Of course the metal will corrode to a certain degree, but it's never a problem.
Thanks for you in-put and I wish you a nice day,
      Tobias

@@RedMooseHunting Perhaps our use cases differ, mine is used for UK hunting in the midlands - not a wet area by any stretch. It appears my problems started after first ue when the internals started to react with the poweder residue creating ammonia crystals.
Have been watching some of your content this week - fantastic channel and very much enjoyed!

Varför engelska när man inte kan, prata svenska och texta på engelska om ni måste.

    • @RedMooseHunting
      @RedMooseHunting  2 года назад +2

      Tobias

Hade varit mycket bättre om ni pratat svenska i filmerna.. Och lagt ner jobb på engelsk text..
