That was different! I'd only ever seen the official video of Kiiara's piece, but I really thought it was weird and not to my taste. I love the PTX version, though. As you can see, Mitch did the sample work as well as the singer's part. The harmonising with kirstie and Scott works so well in their version. Well arranged piece!
I've never before or since seen PTX do something that honestly made me kinda feel bad for the original artist. Like I know we love to say how they "don't do covers, they do upgrades", but this one is a little sad, imo. Kiara was.... fine. It was absolutely fine. Aaaaand then PTX happened all over it, LOL
It’s like how The Godfather’s sequel is preferred by most over the first film. However, there won’t be a sequel without the first. I’m glad PTX gave the song a new life.

Gold is such a jewel of an arrangement. I can and have listened to it on repeat for an hour. I do not really like the original, it’s interesting but does nothing for me.
