also used VERY early on (after the first couple of weeks but before its second month) when goodson/todman thought they couldn’t secure the rights to the original song (Chump Change). by the time the show was starting to gain steam they started using Chump Change more and more until it became their theme
This theme (or at least the tune) was also used for the Australian version of Now You See It between 1985 and 1992 - the difference being that it was a show for young adults (much like Blockbusters and Wipeout). Fond memories of Mike Meade, Melvin and Morton! :)
Brendan Richards The Scottish version was shown across the UK also, it wasn't exclusively a local thing. I always assumed they'd just taken the US main theme as it sounds so similar to other Goodson-Todman themes, this is now logical as there was definitely a strong 'house sound' to the Score/Kalehoff themes!
Composed by legendary television music composer Edd Kalehoff.
"Unused" theme, this theme was actually used. It was sometimes used for the commercial and win cue on the Narz version.

This was also used as the main theme for both the UK and Australian versions.

"Unused" theme, this theme was actually used. It was used as the closing theme for the show.
Reminds me of the Concentration/The Price Is Right 1973 car cue.
@Stratman78 And it was also used on some occasions when Jack Narz would say "Now You See It... Now You Don't."
Impeccable quailty!
Also noticed it was used on a Scottish regional version in the 1980s.

Favorite game show
The longer version of this cue/theme was used in TPiR showcase "Spot The Leprechaun" on 1984-03-16: ruclips.net/video/OxtnNDktyGY/видео.html
This version was used in "Now You See It" but it was only used when the show went to a commercial break.
This was used on the price is right showcase with the cars in the mid 80s
perfect.
@623058 It was used by Scottish tv for the uk Version but edited to cut it in lenght
They actually used this theme in an Australian version of "NYSI" produced in the 1980s
No need to apologize :) It means flawless or faultless.
Where is the full theme?
I beleive this version was used for UK: Scottish Tv version of now you see it!
well the first part anways!
Anyone know where I can hear the full theme?
Nice quality, but sounds very mono to me. :-|
A way to avoid paying Quincy Jones royalties for not playing "Chump Change" when someone wins the NYSI end game. Nice song, though.
artytoons but does the Q care??
artytoons yes in fact it's sometimes used when the show airs on buzzr
I hated this version of NYSI.
